Cheers Geo. Technically my second fave band after The Chameleons but I give them more than enough plugs šŸ˜Ž and the sheer variety of ACRā€™s work over 46 years is something to behold.

That would possibly be my desert island book. Itā€™s ace!

Also seeing them for the first time in Manchester in a few weeks! Along with English Teacher, canā€™t wait.

Thatā€™s a shame, Iā€™ve not been to the Devilā€™s Arse yet so may well give that a go.

It was definitely considered but we decided it was a bit too far!

Oh wow thatā€™s great Will! If the 20th is currently free add Clitheroe to the list, itā€™s a lovely part of the world and Iā€™ll happily take a day out to show you some sights.

Hi Jimmy, not sure if you knew but Matt was my brother, and Tony is also a very good friend of mine. If you are heading to the gig it would be lovely to make your acquaintance. Every Chameleons gig is an emotional rollercoaster as the memories flood back šŸ™

Not their finest but they set a very high standard with their first 2 albums.

Absolutely that featured in another music challenge somewhere I recall!

Excellent choice. I went for Race for Space but this probably fits the category better. Looking forward to seeing them in Sheffield in March for the first time in a long while šŸ‘šŸ»

Going to see Fontaines with my young nephews (11 and 15) was life affirming. Amazing gig and a memory for ever šŸ’–šŸ’š

Fantastic work Richard. Nice to see ACR make 51st place but disappointed Einsturzende Neubauten couldnā€™t make the top 187 šŸ¤£

Brighter was number 28 in Peelā€™s Festive 50, 1987. I played the tapes of those shows till they fell to bits and loved that song but never explored them further till nowā€¦

The other recommendation I would make to anyone is A Certain Ratio. Their 2024 album was my šŸ„‡ and my recommendation with them would be to start there and work backwards. An incredible body of work over 46 years.

Couldnā€™t see this on your picture Nathan but my eyes could be deceiving me. Madra by New Dad one of my top 5 from 2024.
