St. Louis (players, coaches, fans) irate over the Nathan Walker penalty. They think there wasn't much of anything there and that Dylan Samberg sold it. Refs clearly never saw what happened in initially calling major so they could review it, ultimately settled on 2 for slashing

First ever playoff goal for Cole Perfetti, and it couldn't have come at a better time for the #NHLJets.
Just 12 seconds into the Nathan Walker penalty. Kyle Connor and Josh Morrissey with the assists.
1-1, 14:17 left in the 2nd period.

This is reduced to a two minute minor for slashing against Nathan Walker.

Despite the offside challenge, the #NHLJets getting a power play here. There was a call coming against St. Louis for impeding Barron -- and the overturned goal doesn't also wipe out the penalty.

Mason Appleton was indeed offside. No goal.
#NHLJets still down 1-0.

But wait. Offside challenge coming up here for St. Louis. This may be coming back.

Wow, a combination of Connor Hellebuyck's paddle and blocker seemingly kept that initial shot from going in, and then Neal Pionk may have saved the rebound attempt.

#NHLJets ultimately decide not to challenge. The goal stands. 1-0 St. Louis.

Might we get a goaltender interference challenge here? #NHLJets call a timeout to consider it. Big decision. There was some contact, for sure. But how much was it Dylan Samberg?

And here’s colleague @wiebesworld.bsky.social with a column on what everyone is talking about out of Game 5.
Brayden Schenn’s controversial hit that hurt Mark Scheifele.
And Scott Arniel blasting Jim Montgomery?!
Oh yes, this series has gotten spicy.
