We used to invest in companies we thought would grow and our stock would go up over time. it was much better than the daily casino the stock market has become, where all that matters is stock price and not the company's actual fundamentals. So, wages and product quality goes down so stock can go up

I didn't say there shouldn't be investors, they shouldn't be prioritized. I would argue, at least in the past, prioritizing creating a great company ended up being good for investors as the company would grow.

Also, my point stands. the fire was put out relatively quickly because the winds had died down. What/who starts a fire has nothing to do with climate change making the resulting fire worse.
