My rosemary plant took a while to start growing strong so I haven’t been using it much and the stickiness can definitely be a pain, so I’ll usually take the rosemary I get from the spice joint here and bonk it with the pestle a couple times.

Rosemary is another one that can be really nice dried. For me it really comes down to how resinous and/or robust vs tender and/or bright the leaves are. Fresh tarragon is really something else. I highly recommend a fresh tarragon era.

If my seeds were easier to access I’d double check to see if mine is sweet marjoram or not, I’m also not sure what difference that really makes. Normally I’m very pro-fresh, but marjoram has come to be an exception. Especially since this mf plant is huge.

And to be clear, I think in most applications I prefer dried. Fresh can get overwhelming real quick and has a much more bitter floral character to it. Idk if thats also what the guy said.

I wish there was any way to be confident that modern strains bearing this or similar names had any connection to the strain you experienced back in the day. Like it’s certainly possible that some seeds/mothers escaped the big trooper raid in the 00s, but unlikely to have proliferated this much.
