I've been looking forward to this one and it didn't disappoint. Glad to know I'm not the only one that can't bear to hear this record

I mirror Adam here. I've barely listened to it over the years. Recent listens confirm I can't stand it. The first 3 tracks give me a false sense of hope then it's all just a plodding chore. There's no spark, it's predictable magically and lyrically. This is REM without Buck and Berry, really

I forgot how banging all the non-album songs were on In Time, cos I never bought it. Cannot believe that only leaves 14 album songs on a best of, even though only Warner years thats massively underselling themselves

I read that as Rory Stewart and didn't even question it

Yeah. Still not sure it was worth the 5 stars and hyperbole in Q at the time!

Really, the Lifting kind of drifted over me before, it's good. Saturn Return weirdly I hated, but is good. Beat a Drum also, felt average, but is good. Summer Turns to High..Always loved I've Been High though, that's a corker.

I've just migrated from X...I think I was too dismissive of Reveal in my comment on there. I've relistened, after a long time away, and it definitely gets another 2 points from me. Probably an 8 now. A few songs I passed on before I can dig now
