Finished my 19th book for 2025. Circe by Madeline Miller. Jesus Christ. What a phenomenal book. Everyone should read it at least once. You're doing yourself a disservice if you don't.

This might sound weird, but series like Justice League Unlimited & Absolute Wonder Woman help keep me from breaking under the onslaught we're dealing with right now from our own government.

The House could vote next week on drastic cuts to Medicaid that would gut critical programs that protect the civil rights and dignity of millions of Americans — including people with disabilities. Contact your member of Congress: No cuts to Medicaid.

I will forever be confused why so many people can't see this man as the tryhard weirdo that he is.

Real ADHD hours instead of finishing my last WIP I instead made a new emote for my TTRPG server (This is one of the PCs in our ongoing mutants and masterminds campaign)

I decided this weekend I wanted to attempt to learn 2D animation, so I of course did the only logical thing and made a Caramelldansen animation of one of my pathfinder characters. This is heavily based on the animation base found here: www.tumblr.com/cecilioque/7... Check it out!

Finishing up my 14th book for 2025. Deonn does such a fantastic job utilizing Arthurian Myth to tell a story about how these legends can be used to reinforce white supremacy. The emotions infused into the ink on the page are powerful. 4.75 out of 5.

A #D&D themed, Edmonton based punk band called Vargouille's lead singer kicked a nazi in the chest at a show when they started seig heil saluting in the front row. The video was pulled from TikTok, but good deeds deserve to be rewarded. Give them a follow. #TTRPG open.spotify.com/artist/1ZkgT...

Great article on Jenny Blake Isabella today! Glad to see her Wikipedia page has already been updated, too! www.pride.com/coming-out/b...

80% of the way through Half a Soul by Olivia Atwater. Despite some questionable implications at the beginning of the book, Atwater does a great job capture what makes a Regency Romance & a Fairy Tale work so well.

Watch this amazing performance. Let it wash over you. Kendrick Lamar continues to show why he's the best in the game.

Finished Book #12 (Hell Followed With Us) last night. Excellent read, but the narrative does become a bit messy in the end. Now reading Half a Soul by Olivia Atwater.

starting a thread of NPC names I invented that made my D&D party so mad they yelled at me

Five chapters left in The Fellowship of the Ring. Reading this has felt like a chore at times just due to how bad the pacing is & how Tolkien handles his lore dumps. I'm going to be happy to be moving onto something different after this.

This is truth. SO many of you have no idea the sputtering, wild-eyed meltdown you would trigger. Criticism means nothing coming from marginalized person; they've already decided we don't matter. But YOU? You're supposed to be on THEIR side. And I can almost guaranteed they just assume you are.

50% of the way through The Fellowship of the Ring. I like the meat of the story & the worldbuilding is top-knotch, but the sluggish pacing is making it a bit of a chore to read at times.

Help Farai get safe by escaping the US. Share or donate, everything helps. Thanks babes. 💖

This is still just $1 for anyone interested in indie superheroes!

hey! if u live in washington please fill out this form in opposition! it does fr take like 30 seconds. this is a real way *YOU* can make a decision that meaningfully effects the quality of life of trans people.

Very nice start to a new series. Check it out if you want to read a cool story that mixes urban fantasy with the gig economy.

Marc Maron is a decent man.

Finished Books #7 (The Fortress of the Pearl by Michael Moorcock) & Book#8 (All Systems Red by Martha Wells). The former was solid, but I've read better Elric stories. The latter was a good, well-executed bit of pulp sci-fi. Will be starting Book #9 tomorrow, Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson.

2005-2006 is when I started the hobby because my parents didn't want to buy me a Warhammer Fantasy army. The first non-D&D TTRPG was Chronicles of Darkness, then just New World of Darkness. Specifically Vampire: the Requim.

Having a hard time finding the energy to write today, so I guess I'll do some reading while cuddling up with a kitty instead

On the bright side today, I successfully distracted myself with my current worldbuilding project. Passed the 5000 word mark. Have one more "chapter" to write, then I can start the revision process!

Despite the horrors we're currently watching unfold & knew would happen, there is one splinter of joy I can derive from Elon Nazi saluting at the inauguration: He looks even more like a fucking lover when he's trying to appear intimidating.

The ADL must really enjoy the taste of boot leather

These executive orders on banning federally funded entities from recognizing trans people or disallowing them from using the bathroom are not self-executing or immediately enforceable. They require formal rule making at a minimum. They are a scare tactic. Ignore and do not comply in advance.

So, I think I might have hit a bit of writer's block with my fantasy worldbuilding. Reached the Faiths & Philosophies section, but no matter what I type, I don't feel happy with it. This is starting to spark my habit to go back to dig through the rest of it to "fix" it.
