The clickbait titles on YT is getting sickening. I’ve unfollowed a few of the top “independent” channels over their content not even remotely covering the thumbnail and/or video title.

Ambition plus concern for a constituent = big win for Van Hollen. I’d be more wary of someone’s ambition for doing this on behalf of someone else’s constituent.

...aand he's gonna have to play second fiddle as VP to someone like AOC at the top of the ticket. I would bet the farm on the DNC still doing everything they can to keep him as being the nominee. That said, he'll be what... 87 by 2028? That might be enough to stop a presidential run in its tracks..

It is technically on office under the White House, until Congress approves & funds it. OOGE doesn’t have the same ring to it, does it?

Gasparino is going to end up in an El Salvador prison in a couple days.

HW raised taxes, after making that a campaign promise not to do so. Thats an outlier.

Did she somehow miss what Schimmler's campaign said about Crawford?

SOMEONE CALLS MARGE MOM?!?! Oh the horror & trauma that kid is going to have... I had no idea she had kids.

I don't have the answer, but I know the media is going to help direct things away from any reforms that would cut off their election time bonanzas.

We knew that when Romney outspent Obama. The message is important. Also: the clear winner is the media machine that gets the $$$ from both parties. They laugh all the way to the bank.

Tell me Trump has no idea how tariffs work without telling me Trump has no idea how tariffs work.

It’s a referendum on the gerrymandering in the state Congressional maps that allows DVO to keep his job. I think this is MUCH more of a referendum on Musk than Trump, TBH. This might have been a closer race if Elon stayed out of it. However, the breakdown is similar to the last SCOWIS race in 2023.
comment in response to post
The election losses since November 5th means that either Elon forgot to/didn’t care to cheat in important elections, or there’s ZERO chance the November 2024 election was rigged. Most plausible: this is a deeply racist & misogynist country that was given an out (inflation)… and ran with it.

Winnebago and Kenosha going that hard for Crawford has got to be setting off alarm bells. Even losing Outagamie by a tiny bit is an absolutely massive loss for them. Those 3 have been almost exclusively red counties since 2008.

If they're somehow charged with a crime, Trump will just pardon them. What they did was far less than the J6'ers did.

Then Goldberg can freely share the screenshots of the conversation, right?
comment in response to post
He said in an interview that he largely agrees with Mike Waltz on national security matters. That won't stop Hegseth from calling Goldberg a hack reporter though.

I think he's just waiting for natural causes to happen or for McDonalds to finally do him in, whichever comes first. If JDV 48 happens anytime soon, Musk is gonna get deported.
comment in response to post
Jeffrey Goldberg, go ahead and freely share the contents of the Signal chat!
comment in response to post
Given what was released about the Signal chat, it appears as if JDV is treading on really thin ice, and that these leaks are VERY real.

Also, a lot of the problem with "seed oils" was the fact that they were partially hydrogenated to extend shelf life. I do not believe it was a coincidence that heart attacks became a big problem not long after Crisco hit the market 100+ years ao. Those trans fats, as we now know, are the big killer.
comment in response to post
Well, it doesn't matter what oil your "plate of FRIED FOOD" is cooked in, if the food wasn't very healthy before it hit the fryer. That might be a better focus, than the oil itself. Beef tallow or leaf lard isn't going to magically make doughnuts, fries, or heavily breaded items into a health food.

Trump might not have run again, without that guaranteed get out of jail free card he would get by appointing his own AG! Anyway, direct elections of the US Attorney General would absolutely stop any accusations like “Biden’s DOJ.” If nothing else, that would be worth it moving forward. /end
comment in response to post
Nevermind that Jack Smith would not have had to resign like did, and would still have 2 years to go on his Special Prosecutor case (assuming a truly independent DOJ could indeed indict a sitting President, unlike the memo that was used since Nixon to not do so).
comment in response to post
Trump would NOT be ignoring the lower court rulings like he & Bondi are at the moment over the deportations of supposed Venezuelan gang members (had anyone else heard of this group before this week?). The threat of an independent DOJ & enforcement actions would be enough to shut that down, hard.
comment in response to post
Let’s say (god forbid) that Merrick Garland was elected in 2022. For sake of discussion, let’s ignore who might have been elected AG in 2018, heading off a LOT of our current issues, by dealing with Jan 6 as it happened. Anyway, what would it look like if Garland was still the AG today?
comment in response to post
We now have an AG who is clearly working for, and under the direction of the Executive, not We The People. What would it be like if this wasn’t the case, like is the case in many states that elect their governor and state AG separately.

“Trimming the fat” is a phrase that should be further clarified when speaking of things regarding Trump.

Always good advice: "LISTEN TO THE WOMEN" Except when Nancy is trying to get Joe to step aside. Other than that, we're golden.

Here's a crazy idea: pass a law that AG's are truly independent, and span administrations, instead of coinciding with the current one. The Senate is no longer advising and consenting, so there's zero trust that any AG moving forward will truly be independent, unless appointed by another admin.
