That’s kind of what we had in the old Trump admin with government employees and old GOP members not letting Trump do whatever he wanted. Unfortunately those people are seemingly gone and the Democrats are a minority party.

Yesterday I had GitHub copilot write me some very simple redux selectors and reducers. With workspace access it did great, without it, terrible

That’s not an argument against what he said. We shouldn’t allow institutions to price gouge just because the government will pay for it. (Because that’s us paying for it)
I do support government funded colleges though, just not at any price

I follow the philosophy that any productivity software more complex than a to do list brings in unnecessary overhead.

These companies don’t want an open internet. They want you to eat from their feeds like cattle.

The problem isn’t the CEOs, it’s the investors.
The game needs to change, not the pieces on the board.

I’ve had this argument with family who are “recent” internet users in that they started using the internet when Twitter/Facebook/YouTube were already entrenched. Many of these people don’t realize the coming and going of websites is how the internet used to always work

It’s really only worth watching for the spectacle, not the story, so if you’re gonna see it I’d do it in the theater

Going to see it tonight, mostly heard negative or mediocre reviews from people I know so I’m worried 😭

Love the top of the hour links! The 24 hour one is a bit hard to use because repeat political posts float to the top, but that might change over time

Was it good? I’m scared to watch it because Gladiator is one of my favorite movies and I don’t know if anything could live up it.

Loving how this looks! I’m on mobile so I couldn’t dig in too much, but is it built with accessibility in mind at all? (Like wcag compliance)

They have been good at it for a very long time. I recommend reading The Lazarus Heist if you’re interested in the topic

This is great, but I would love to be able to eventually do this when viewing a thread as a one off and not by going to the settings (similar to Reddit)
