In terms of the cities as a whole, which one was your favorite?

Congrats! I am always happy to see more history communication out there.

Is this a religion at this point? A cult? Both? Please provide guidance so I know how to praise the drift king correctly.

Sadly, there are only like 4 places in the US where that is possible to do practically.

I also don't agree with the way it argues against certain controversial topics which require a bit more finesse & sensitivity in order to convince people that don't already agree with you but I understand the goal it's trying to achieve. It's an interesting book. www.amazon.co.uk/Every-Monume...

Lol, I actually just changed that one today. It didn't have a good enough click-through rate.

Ou man. My PhD. research is dealing with this. I would love to be part of this because *I got thoughts!*. (I can't right now because I am busy but at some point)

Classic 'present informing the public's interpretation of the past' moment. I think partially it's not even anything nefarious. It's just people trying to find solace in the idea that it can be better because it 'was' better even if that imagined 'was' isn't accurate.

Reform is a serious problem. British version of Trumpism in many ways.

If it's that long, you should split it.

This was nice. I enjoyed it. A lot of these 'debate' type of videos on YouTube are just rage baiting, so it's nice to see one with more altruistic motives of discussion and education.

Update, they won and clinched a play off spot. Will probably lose to the caps in the first round but hey, they got in!

Although, I understand that people want to vent, complaining is only human, and saying that you shouldn't talk about something that upsets you sounds stupid. Therefore, I don't really have a solution, all I am saying is that I don't think it's helping. (hopefully this ramble made sense)

Ironically even this explanation is a simplification. But what I think is that angrily posting about something you can't explain well, especially if you're an influencer, isn't helping. You don't convince people with anger, you only gain similarly thinking angry people & alienate the rest ...

All of this only confuses some people more which leads them to choose the simplest answers. Due to the very complicated nature of society simple answers are rarely the right ones but they are easy to understand and after encountering the angry chaos of the internet accepting them can be a relief ...

Rather what people encounter are bad faith debates, poorly thought out articles, or, most commonly, ill informed angry people posting about stuff without context. Everyone only presenting one side of a debate even though it's hard to understand one side without sincerely explaining the other ...

Due to this, ChatGPT can be a very helpful tool for academics, streamlining their work, but harmful to lay people who will just take its translations at face value.

If they're here for sports than say it! Don't pretend that they (of course not all them) somehow got in on academic merit when they really didn't.

As it stands the whole "behind the scenes" arms race between Oxford and Cambridge recruiting professional athletes for an 'amateur' competition is stupid. Not only is it disrespectful to the sport but also to the whole academic integrity of the Universities.
