I know I keep yapping about the Digital Circus YTP, but I can't help but be excited for it! The latter half is becoming clearer in my mind as I go. Imagery-wise it'll be my most bizarre work since Meet the Mario Head, and in another way, it'll be the most exciting YTP I've made in a long time!

So apparently Resolve DOES have something built in that does the kind of rotoscoping I need (like Rotobrush in After Effects). It's called Magic Mask, and it allowed me to rotoscope Mario here 100x faster than if I masked him manually, which is to say a matter of seconds. We're in business, baby!

Trying to mask moving characters out of footage (aka rotoscoping) in Resolve has proven to be quite a pain. Fortunately, I've found a plugin built precisely for pro-level rotoscoping. I'm gonna try it out and see if it's worth investing in.
