While there is a lot to say about this image, the thing that stands out to me the most - what IMO makes genAI a specifically right wing phenomenon - is the craving for approval. It is not enough to be able to generate robot lingerie warrior lady. They NEED to also be praised for doing it.

They're not just a guy typing "big titty anime girl" into an AI prompt, but an ARTIST just like anyone draws.
They should be PAID for their "WORK"
THIS IS THE POINT. THEY WANT CREDIT AND PAYMENT.
It's one thing to play around with novelty tech, it's quite another to demand praise for something you essentially stole from with little to no effort.
I've been saying this for 20 years, folks.
And a craving for cultural relevance only leads to one place, and it ain't good.
Matt Walsh, Ben Shapiro, Dave Rubin, Stephen Crowder, Jimmy Dore, the list goes on.
This guy ripped off a bunch of unpaid artists and wants to be told he did it all himself.
And that's why nobody likes you, bro.

How weird.
Come on. You don't actually mean a tool has politics. That's like saying the automobile is right wing. Or computers. The fact there is a religious zealotry in Silicon Valley about AI is right wing. Not the existence of the tech.
What they created the image to do is to make a public statement about the desirability of images - and find belonging with likeminded fellows.
prompt goblin. prompt goblin. prompt goblin.
Such a great label. Right up there with "sex pest".
What a wonderful phrase
The prompt-using goblin
Should be a passing craze
...
This is the exact reason I think the gooners are the only real ai enthusiasts. They wanted a picture of a lady, they got it, they are happy
my party wants to identify the monstrous cob of corn their weirdly specific actions lead to on the battlefield and ai slop is an upgrade from just a circle with the letter 'c' on it
My group just like, rips the npcs directly from other properties, so plagiarizing shit for their likeness is really, really easy without ai
But being accused of making slop deeply wounds the prompt goblin.
The prompt goblins are putting out inedible grey paste.
The deal they made in their heads was that they would have everlasting adoration for their every decision. Turns out they forgot to ask anyone else about it

The Same Right Winger: Well obviously we need to censor that.
He started in hot, complaining about how hard his life was and that's why he voted for Trump
Howard was like, you won. You got what you wanted and I hope you're right about everything
it still wasn't enough. It's never enough
It was fascinating to listen to
They're not content to hurt people. They need everyone else to consider it heroism.
*except all the humans the ai sourced from
Ask this ass clown how the shading was done on their 'art' or why they picked that color palette and the best they could say is 'a wizard did it.'
What does this mean about Jobs and Elon? Oh noes!
Broadway was doing Yellow Kid productions in the 1920's. Licensing popular content to boost yourself has been around for a moment.
JD Vance just wants to humiliate them.
We're reaching new levels of stupid.
(But as a writer, I would start another convo about underappreciation of screenwriters.)
One thing I find confusing is how little artists are pushing back against AI. I don't mean in public statements or petitions or court cases but in art itself... maybe that push back is yet to come but I really wish it would hurry up a bit.
They never will.
And it kills them
No wonder impotent, rich, white men seek to burn it down + replace it with their artificial'creativity'. And they'll never succeed.
I know lots of lefty folks that think it’s neat/promising/interesting. They just use it some and don’t weirdly make it part of their identity.
Because what GenAI is about isn't being able to make whatever image they want, it's about their jealousy at artists (online or celebrity) that acquire any level of acclaim through their efforts and craft. That's the real point of GenAI shit, to steal the audience more than the works
Like I'm cool with fans of superhero movies; but stop asking me to respect you when you shit on Criterion.
Actually make something, then we'll praise you!
There are plenty of examples of this floating around the internet already.

this is all done out of jealousy and hatred. They believe artists have a super power to create things people love out of thin air, and earn friends, love and power from this. They see this as unfair, and AI as evening the score
They can’t be happy with “I made a machine do an interesting thing.” No, it has to be the same as Spielberg-level art.
"No, bigger tits. Make the sword longer. More clouds."
Truly, they are visionaries.
"I'm being attacked but people just don't get how good my ai art really is"
In the business of Gen Ai, the skill of gen ai "artist" is more replaceable & disposable because ai, as a business, build its money from being a service that wants to usurp negotiations powers & value of individual paces from people.
