So proud of Coeur d’Alene because there were a few hundred protesters out there tonight for May Day. In fact, they have constantly been out for every protest these last few months. In this area that’s a really big deal.

When will the media start seriously questioning the health—especially the mental health—of DJT? I have a narcissistic mother who’s now in the grips of dementia. The parallels I see are hard to ignore: the compulsive lying, the outbursts, the rage when challenged. This deserves more scrutiny.

I love that for him.

Love this

Hey media: If your headline says “Putin declares Easter ceasefire in Ukraine” without also including the fact that Russian forces haven’t stopped fighting for even a second, you’re just helping his propaganda machine.

Reince Prebus on This Week denying that Republicans are being threatened for standing up to the orange menace is peak propaganda.

Here is the top comment on this article: “You are advising responsible honest people who have worked hard, saved all their lives… to scale down their retirement dreams because a one person has decided to destroy the US economy. Why not write an article about how to get rid of the real problem?”

Checked my 401(k) — it’s not a retirement plan, it’s an obituary for my dreams of ever leaving the workforce alive.

Almost all NOAA Research websites that rely on cloud services - including Amazon, Google and WordPress - are poised to disappear at midnight ET Saturday after a contract was targeted for "early termination." Labs may also feel the effects. Story for @bloomberg.com (free link):

Yes, the stock market may be tanking and our national security apparatus has never been more vulnerable and we're on the verge of both economic collapse and war, but it was all worth it to keep pronouns out of email signatures.

As a blue dot in a really red part of Idaho, I now seem to be everyone’s emotional support Democrat.

Here’s the thing about the tariffs: there will be no “short term pain”. Only long term. Every time a company realizes they can get away with charging you extra they don’t ever lower the price again. They just gouge. Whatever price hikes there are will be here for good.

Y’all look at the stock market after hours. The entire thing is tanking. Tomorrow’s gonna be 1000 point loss if this keeps up.

Truly a sad day for American diplomacy and alliances. An awful lot of us hate what’s going on and are deeply sorry. Hard to overstate the long-term damage Trump is doing.

What he is saying is... he wants your electronics made in America so your new iPhone costs as much as a used Honda Civic.

Luckily, the Chinese won’t respond to a 67% tariff in any way whatsoever, right?

Yes! 🙌

This is a great read.

I live in an obscenely red part of North Idaho (I know—that sounds redundant). Every so often, I have a little fun and dive into the comment section of a particularly divisive post and try to have a conversation with the MAGA cult. Today is one of those days. 🧵

Boundary County is the northernmost county in Idaho and shares a border with Canada. The largest city in the county, Bonners Ferry, has a billboard welcoming you to Trump country. The area heavily relies on Canadian tourism, which is down about 13% since January. 🪡🧵

It's critical for everyone to remember what an Executive Order is. It is the President communicating orders to members of the executive branch. Policies to pursue, actions to take, etc. They are not laws. They are not close to being laws. They are formalized memos to employees. That's all.

Here’s the thing, fuckface — we knew you were going to try this shit, but you can’t “void” another president’s pardons. The Constitution is extremely clear on this, you traitorous piece of shit.

Is it me, or is Threads full of people patting themselves on the back for doing good things for others and being in tune with others’ feelings? I mean, there’s some great stuff happening there, but a lot of it seems performative, like “Look at me. I’m a good person. I did something good today.”

AOC on senate Dems caving and backing the CR: “A wide sense of betrayal.”

Dems need to co-opt the slogan, “Stop the Steal.” We needs to start using it to broadcast all the ways this administration is stealing everything from our money to our freedoms. @housedemocrats.bsky.social @democrats.senate.gov

The old ways don’t work under a fascist regime. To quote “The Real World,” it’s time to stop being polite, and start getting real. Someone needs to step up and steamroll Schumer and start getting shit done. If that happens, I guarantee everyone else will start falling in line.

In all seriousness, why isn’t the mainstream media talking about this more? He’s said it a couple of times now. He’s so emboldened that he’s just putting it out there.

“This is like presidential campaign rallies, isn’t it? But I’m not running for president, and this is not a campaign,” Sen. Bernie Sanders told The Associated Press. “You gotta do what you gotta do. The country’s in trouble and I want to play my role.”
