It's much easier to just get an MS DOS vesion of Boppin' and run it through a dosbox of your choice. It's a genuinely fun game and holds up.

Yes. A broken clock is right twice a day even when he pisses himself more often than that.

Leifeld certainly has a style.

Another observation I had to check for myself since I don't remember it being this dark. It's dark for sure but not cave and a flickering light bulb dark on my install of the game. Maybe it gets brighter if you set your monitor to 60hz. Older games can be finicky.
comment in response to post
That's odd. It didn't do that back in the day nor does it do it now on my PC. Had to install to check.

It was rough but doable.

A mirror sheen floor (mind you, things get crowded fast in Painkiller) and overall better contrast for a huge performance dip for the average player. The gun looks like turd but I imagine that those textures haven't even been touched up for RTX.

You need that zoom to see anything different on a large screen, let alone on your phone. lol

also the screen transitions from the old Abe games when they switched from fmv to 2d were almost seamless when displayed properly.

any sort of reflections always blew my socks off, tbh.

You could, but I have yet to see it. Maybe you're talking potential, in which case I'll hold my breath.

All of this for incredibly diminishing returns for the game experience. Honestly, I can't understand this fetishization of tech.

This is in no way the same kind of graphic leap as the pixel shader was back in the day and you know it. Sure it is progress but ever so granular and meaningless since graphics have plateaued. Not only that but RTX is still the kill frames button if not paired with the other Nvidia solution, DLSS.

Toasting in epic bread. Also here because I despise the DF ethos (not the people, for the record) of zooming in at 4k grass to even feel like graphical progress is being made in a significant way.

Lost me at F2P.

That's odd but you do you.

This mod goes exceptionally well with Heretic and Heretic wads too.

Here I am for the nth time looking at a picture of Chappel Roan and going "hey, that's Kate Bush".

Honestly, I'm fed up with this long development cycle for AAA games. It's ok to just put out a game and move on.

Even if you're referring to the MEGA watchman, the video shows an FDL model. And I know it might not be a big deal but it is informational decay and it was served by the aglo on my timeline.

My brother in christ, I'm watching information degrade in real time. What Sony Watchman FDM are you talking about?

I completely denounce Fandom but also fandoms. lmao.

Just bend them at the elbow. EZ.

Others just completely miss the mark with just slapping a new engine but in Oblivion's case I can't say I mind the Remaster but I never liked the original's graphical style either.

Just get a fuckin guy to make a political cartoon, jessus christ. I can't parse the meaning for shit and can't even take visual hints without hitting a brick wall. What's that last panel supposed to mean? Is it the punchline?

I just want this to end.

To be fair, that's a landmark building, as far as I remember, that's purposefully referencing a real world building. The OP is talking about generic buildings and design choices that are inspired from real life. It's like saying there's a statue of liberty inspired statue of liberty in the game.

I remember when Star Wars used to be a sometimes thing. Now it's become The Young & the Restless, so much occupying so little memory space.

Maybe ask people to elaborate instead of jumping to calling someone "attention-seeking". idk.
comment in response to post
Just because an opinion has caught your attention doesn't mean someone's attention seeking. Relax. It's just Marvel Slop (tm).

Yes. Still don't get it tho.

Good question. Why can you see X?

You don't have to defend Disney publicly. You can enjoy marvelshit like the rest of us, over Disney's slowly rotting corpse.

pretty sure they were buying classic games. I can tell. I've seen some shoops in my time and from some of the pixels.

More money? Less demanding jobs? Better selfcare? At least for the ones you're shown there.

Idk, I felt that outside of the formula of an alien species killing people each Alien movie had its own vibe or thing. Romulus, on the other hand, felt clinically designed for maximum nostalgia and recognisability.
