I really need to internalize this.

Posters. Stickers. Flyers. “Handbills” although lol nobody says handbills except in academic text. Marking the public space as the home of the public and not the property of the guys who bought up the buildings

REPOST if you support our federal workforce and know how dedicated they are to their jobs. Show them you appreciate them!

Oof.

The revolution may need violence. That is a possibility. But it also needs healers. It needs gardeners. It needs leaders. It needs managers. It needs cooks. It needs farmers. It needs tailors. It needs educators. It needs journalists. It needs artists. It needs builders. You are not useless.

In case it helps someone: The phrase “We don’t do / say that here” is immensely useful in managing people who feel emboldened to try to push boundaries and test behaviour norms in your spaces. It’s a bland statement of fact, doesn’t contain an accusation, and can be used by anyone including peers.

Just sent some of this month’s mutual aid money to translifeline.org/donate/

If you’ve yet to try using the mute feature, consider trying it out. I’m finding it really helpful in curating my feed. I thought it wasn’t a tool I particularly needed, but the absolute deluge of bad news has really been getting to me this week. /1

🧵 up and down with more info, but I’m hoping this take proves to be correct both here and in general. These executive orders, as terrifying as they are, still need to be implemented to be more than propaganda.

I made some block print patches. Trying to craft my anxiety into a more productive activity than doomscrolling.

Reposting for my reference, and because who doesn’t love a reading list?

Some new additions to the battle jacket.

I am a former incarcerated firefighter. I served in a California fire camp from 2009 to 2012. Misinformation is afire on the internet, so here are facts about the prison firefighter program, all in one place. A thread.
