The issue in the other genai copying cases coming will be on whether or not they can demonstrate their works were used in the training of the model. In this case, I believe that TR had good evidence of the copying to support their case.

I suspect that some of the larger players must and smaller ones are taking a risk. The very big tech players for sure have considered this cost i.e. Microsoft CoPilot and their IP indemnification.

I did not renew my NY Times subscription for a reason. They are giving air to all the crazy things Trump says. Instead we should focus on what Trump doesn't want us to focus on. His cabinet, his policies, his convictions,... It's going to be 4 years of him saying crazy things to distract us.

It's a good point. My concern is that with AI, it will amplify unfair practices and will disproportionately result in more denied claims. The AI could be very effective at identifying "heavy users" of insurance as targets.

Totally agree. This is me hypothesizing here but it seems to me that the insurer is just worried about keeping costs down.
