You should really try just being an Orioles fan. Also, totally adding this to my stack to read.

Which one did you see the most? I think mine was Unforgiven (4x in the theater)

I think I only saw 8 or 9 in the theater, but at least 3 of those I paid to see more than once in the theater. Also, A Perfect World doesn't get enough love - such a great movie

My parents took us to see it in the theater when I was 10, so I had a residual "Ugh this is boring" bias for years till I watched again 20 years ago and was blown away by....all of it. Should have it on a rewatch every 2 years or so schedule.

It's great -- oddly enough it may feel like the Grossman x Mad Boy for you...

The title story and "Shelly" are my favorites. The new book is pretty great too!

It's so good! But Dog of the South is a tiny bit better for me

Housekeeping is up next in my stack -- I think it's a re-read but I remember almost nothing about it (and am possibly confusing it with Gilead)

Or they should just take 15 minutes and read "House on Dead Confederate Street" or "Dead Deer" and say something quick about them. They'll feel better after.

Heartbeat City came out when I was 10 and I think was one of the first albums I listened to straight thru like an actual album
