DOGE cuts 9/11-related cancer research funding, which FDNY commissioner calls "a tragedy for all Americans." www.cbsnews.com/newyork/news...

Here's video of Steve Bannon doing a Sieg Heil today at CPAC. It is what it is and it's what Bannon intended. Don't let yourself be gaslit.

I’ll keep pushing this line of analysis because I’m increasingly convinced the clearest path out of this mess is for Dems to adopt a relentless anti-corruption, anti-inequality, anti-oligarchy, pro-democracy platform. The Dem leadership hasn’t realized it yet, but they’re now a reform party.

So if you criticize Elon Musk, Trump’s DOJ will send you this letter. Members of Congress must have the right to forcefully oppose the Trump Administration. I will not be silenced.

The battle of our day is no longer about Democrats versus Republicans or left versus right. The choice right now is democracy or dictatorship. And we're sliding faster than I ever thought possible into the latter. Everyone must choose which side they’re on. Now.

Well now.

Saturday Feb. 22, at 2:00 pm here in D.C. at the Lincoln Memorial, there's a rally for Ukraine, organized by United Help Ukraine, Razom for Ukraine, and others. Trump may have switched sides. America needn't. unitedhelpukraine.org/events/3-yea...

New: DOGE's spending has been secret. No longer. My colleagues have uncovered it. www.propublica.org/article/doge...

I’m George Takei and I approve of this message.

How we did it: Texas Won’t Study How Its Abortion Ban Impacts Women, So We Did

NEW: Pregnancy became far more dangerous in Texas after the state banned abortion, according to ProPublica’s first-of-its-kind analysis, which found the sepsis rate for women hospitalized as they miscarried in the 2nd trimester shot up by more than 50%. https://propub.li/43487Tj

President Zelenskyy has been one of the greatest leaders of our time, guiding Ukraine through the darkest period of its recent history, rising up to Russia’s unwarranted aggression, being an inspiration to the Ukrainian people and ensuring that Ukraine’s voice is heard on the world stage.

He’s not making up: news.bloomberglaw.com/banking-law/... Is this really what y’all voted for? 🫤 💰

It seems to me that if Musk has proof that millions of social security checks have gone out illegally to dead people, he should be presenting that evidence in front of a grand jury under oath tomorrow instead of shitposting it on social media. When can we do this under oath?

It's hilarious that the State Department was considering giving a $400 million contract to Elon Musk for armored cars by Tesla when the Cybertruck can't even manage a couple inches of snow. 🤦‍♀️

Do us a favor and arrest a Member of Congress for telling people what their constitutional rights are. Go ahead and try it thug. bsky.app/profile/acyn...

Physically incapable of taking responsibility for his own actions.

Last Fall, the Washington Post allowed a right wing group to run a full page ad falsely attacking me for protecting voting rights. Today, Bezos' paper won't accept ads criticizing Elon Musk. Support pro-democracy media. www.democracydocket.com/me-subscribe...

The Washpost, which is bleeding millions of dollars and shrinking its staff, accepted -- and then rejected -- a $115,000 ad that criticized Elon Musk. Anyway, here's the ad that the Post's business side didn't want its readers to see ⤵️ thehill.com/media/514849...

The flying public needs answers. How many FAA personnel were just fired? What positions? And why?

Since we’re on the topic of government waste, Donald Trump’s joyride around the Daytona 500 cost American taxpayers around $5,000,000. 🤡 Here’s the breakdown: Air Force One Costs: estimated $800,000 – $1,000,000. Presidential Motorcade & Transport: estimated $200,000 – $500,000

This is fascism.

www.mediaite.com/trump/axios-... disgusting, sniveling

Make no mistake. This is an all-out attack on health in America. Not only is the EIS vital to controlling infectious disease; it was where a remarkably high fraction of our public health leaders received formative training and experience. www.statnews.com/2025/02/14/t...

Interesting: the State Department’s procurement forecast detailing a $400 million order for "armored Tesla" has now been edited to "armored electric vehicles." The document shows the edit was made tonight at 9:12 p.m. -- after it was highlighted in reports

On Monday, U.S. Agency for International Development Inspector General Paul K. Martin released a report noting that Trump’s dismantling of the agency will likely result in nearly $500 million worth of food going bad. On Tuesday, he was fired. Setting an example. newrepublic.com/post/191443/...

The State Department has suddenly awoken to the incredible opportunity that is $400 million of expensive and impractical armored Cybertrucks www.nytimes.com/live/2025/02...

Every single person should be horrified and frightened by this. Like I said a month ago, keep some cash in your house. That goes for too NYC. And Baltimore. And Atlanta. And Chicago.

đź“ŚI was the managing editor at Stars and Stripes and can tell you that Pete Hegseth is the first SecDef I am aware of to be openly booed by military families on a military base. đź“ŚThis is the most significant pushback I have seen to this administration's racist, hostile initiatives.

We cannot ignore how shockingly abnormal it is for a private citizen — who himself has contracts with the federal government — to dispatch a private army of executives, data experts and recent high schoolers to dictate policies to federal agencies. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/elon...

New from Will Bunch: What Elon Musk Wants is Worse than you think. www.inquirer.com/columnists/a...

“Fall in line and obey orders!” The Trump administration doesn’t even hide the fascism. (Statement from AP’s executive editor Julie Pace)
