You can be ‘correct’, as you are here(!), while not adequately explaining or understanding human history from 1AD. Every revolution in history ultimately didn’t care about ‘systems’. I think & write a lot about the elasticity of BIg Tents; believed by some to be infinite. Historically, not so much.

I think you might have missed my point.(?). I’ve voted in every election of my adult life, and serve as an election judge. You’re not wrong; also…not mutually exclusive to improving how we represent a broad people beyond a binary, us-vs-them.

There were lots of reasons the 38% didn’t vote in 2024, or earlier. Like a Rorschach test, everyone picks their favorite to accentuate. Mine is that the existing two Big Tent parties have utterly failed in representing the diverse breadth of our 340M population. Virtually no pundit confronts that.

Miller’s take on neighborhood? Sounds hard to distinguish from paranoid schizophrenia. Perhaps he never actually lived in a multi ethnic part of a town, where it had a rich tapestry of foods, smells, dance, music, street art, languages spoken he didn’t understand..

Noem is working over the system like a rented mule. The kk her they’re in there, the worse it will get. Hoping the general strike numbers her to 11M sooner than later so we have our 3.5% needed.

Definitely.. what a tragic disaster. I hope the US could somehow help.

Exactly. We need AOC and Bernie, and whoever else has the energy, to start a major new party wing on their own, from the ground up, to represent the Beyond-Schumer bloc. Just do it, while there’s time now, before 2028 is here. Or ditch the old Dems entirely and start a new party in earnest.

Oh great. Consoling to know it’s a family affair. Not.

Please, don’t just organize— start a new party with Bernie and others, from the ground up (or major party wing) to represent the Beyond-Schumer crew of us!!

The DNC leadership for the most part, mesmerized by their phones and polls, is at the very back of these 10,000+ groups of people who happen to notice the storm clouds rolling in. Memo to self: rebuild the party from the ground up, sans corporations and actBlue style monopoly transaction brokers.

What incredible bullshit coming out of Hegseth. Does he think we’re that stupid. Yes i realize the MAGA base will never re-assess their worship of DT/Musk and his merry band of (incompetent +Malevolent prankster’s), but come on!!!!

I think I’ve now heard the full spectrum of excuses why this “accidentally happened”. Not one simply taking responsibility. Come on Americans, let’s break out of denial.

Kafka or Voltaire or Vonnegut could not have written a more bizarre tale for how this Trump/Musk administration takes one sordid affair after another and attempts to spin it into gold…

Let me get this right; first the Jan 6 crew pulls off an insurrection, then many of them are arrested, then get released by Trump and now he want to PAY them??

Yep, that’s it. Ugh!!

This is precisely the problem. The antiquated DNC needs reform at such a level that it’s doubtful anything but a new party (new people, new vibe) will be able to step in once a general strike succeeds. AOC could do it! Or Crockett and Nernie and many others. We need that as much as a general strike.

Unbelievable!! Or it least it was before Jan 6, 2025; whoops, I meant January 6 2016.

The current Dem wobbly-ness is buried or absent is the “all we need to fix this… is a sweep of Dem victories in 2026 or 2028”. Dems need too to bottom reform— and no more monopoly act.blue conduit as the only way to get $$ to Dem candidates.

Exactly. And El Salvador takes the $6M and gives us nothing except a sloppy grin and an eye roll—“too late” to have turned those 2 planes around considering the DT payola.
