Why not just forward to [email protected] or [email protected] ? Maybe even add an inquiry as to what it’s all about?

Threats to individuals who would hold him accountable.

Brilliant message. You’ve proven at least someone has nonviolent courage.

Just because they say it was “accidental” doesn’t mean that it’s so. There is no reason to take them at their word.

They “Say” they are trying to hire them back. Why should anybody believe them?

It’s a temporary appointment that was used to remove him from the senate. He’s done the minute he falls out of favor.

Exactly. Acting as a broadcast stenographer for a president isn’t journalism and actually just nets a declining readership/viewership that knows it’s being lied to.

Oof. Driver side or passenger side? Depending on the road or shoulder, driver side can be terrifying… RI life…

They really should call it “DOGIE” (The Department of Government In-Efficiency). Because that’s all it’s doing. Making government not work.
An analogy: Sure it sucks going to the DMV because it takes too long to get service, but if you fired everybody but one employee, it would be much worse…

They think they are picking their fights. And you’re right. They should oppose it all.
That’s what primaries are for. If we are even able to have fair elections going forward. Statewide elections should be for a while. But it’s the American people who’ll end up making change. Not just politicians.

He was between a rock and a hard place. If you don’t believe that this attack on Israel one year out from the election wasn’t orchestrated by forces, some foreign, who wanted T to be prez, you might not have the full story. Biden was trying to prevent war from escalating in the region.
comment in response to

You may be angry. But that’s counterproductive. Dividing the coalition that got the most recent D presidents and D congresses has been the goal of foreign adversaries and now R culture warriors. D voters need to stop attacking selves and taking the culture war bait. Low info voters are easily swayed

You’re mistaken he was terrible. He had no leverage. His term was about to end. The Israeli people are allies. Bibi is authoritarian & to avoid jail on bribery charges he wanted this administration, so he did everything to harm the previous one so he could act with impunity. You’re right on the rest

What if they just changed the name to other words maybe like… pluralism, fairness and non-exclusion.
This administration is all about performative indignation. They put a tremendous amount of energy into making words scary. Let them waste energy on new ones. It takes time and dilutes their effort.

No because we were still functioning as a democracy. And the out party was still viewed as the loyal opposition by the other party. Both parties when out of power were still respected by the other party. That has ended. It’s an autocracy. Ironically Republican Congress Members are out of power too.

Not so sure he doesn’t do the crazy stuff as a distraction from the real malicious and destructive stuff that he’s also doing, so no one notices it happening, and is fully aware that it is, in fact, a distraction.

Exactly. Academic investigation by scientists in order to find out how to better secure dangerous pathogens. Not that it doesn’t matter if 30 million people died from a pandemic. The resolution of an argument over which was responsible doesn’t matter. Oof. It’s wearisome conversing with a bot.

In what way does “Warrants investigation” mean not to investigate it?
comment in response to

It’s just not very descriptive. Especially from an American perspective.
comment in response to

Exactly. So sorry that person suffered from the pandemic. But he or she is acting like any US govt can demand answers now! And the Chinese govt, if they know, is going to easily be pressured to reveal what happened. And if it wasn’t lab leaked they wouldn’t believe it. They feel the need to blame.
comment in response to
post
No. You misunderstand. It’s a very big deal. It warrants investigation. But nobody knows if morons duffed an experiment. Nobody knows there was a cover up. It happened in a country run by an authoritarian govt. How does it help the US by fighting against each other over which of 2 causes it may be?

Statistically, 2nd and 1 is far superior. You’d only need to average 1/2 yd per play in two plays for a first down versus needing to average 3 1/3 yds per play over 3 plays for another first down.

Forestry mangagement…? What is defined by “Forest management” and whose standards?
What’s more… a much larger portion of CA forested lands are Federally managed than Californian managed…🤷🏻♂️

“Epi friends…” Like Epizootics? It’s frustrating to listen to people get angry over a lab leak but have no idea why they are angry about it. If it was an accident we should be working together to prevent future leaks. If malicious, on the other hand, that creates and altogether different response.

You even seem to know the details. 👍
comment in response to

Exactly. Probably better said even.
comment in response to

Yup. As it pertains to retribution. It merits investigation as to how or why it escaped, if it did. But research is done every day on lethal pathogens. There’s plenty of them stored in Atlanta at the CDC. You can’t do research on a pathogen without maintaining stores of the pathogen in question.

Good point, And… one could argue that DoD Secretary was the biggest DEI hire (By MAGA standards) ever. Totally unqualified. He was hired NOT on merit in any sense. He was hired based on his ethnicity and race, and not even remotely on his ability to do the job.
comment in response to
post
No. Debate over whether it escaped from a lab vs. evolved in the wild would be pointless. An authoritarian govt. covering up a lab accident would be expected.
That govt. intentionally releasing that pathogen, and even killing its own citizens in the process, to infect other countries, wouldn’t be.
comment in response to
post
Lab leak theory is a pointless debate unless one is arguing malicious intent. Otherwise, it doesn’t matter whether it came from the wild, a wet market, or it escaped the lab (other than academically). It caused a pandemic and that’s that. There’s plenty of high mortality pathogens at CDC right now.

Good luck. I ended up going laser after trashing 3 inkjets. At least yours is cheaper because you don’t need cartridges.
comment in response to

Replace it with a color laser printer. Cost for the printer itself is marginally more. But toner lasts forever and never gets clogged like inkjet heads. In the end it’ll be cheaper.

Yup. Thanks to the previous administrations and the civil servants who work there. Another more malign or incompetent secretary might wreck that ease and consistency.

Doesn’t matter anyway. He’ll just be ignored. But maybe getting your passport renewed won’t be that difficult.

Probably. It was also a means of getting him out of the senate to fire him later.
