As a K12 science teacher I have a lot of memorized lectures that I can give in my sleep, so the Senate would be learning about the periodic table and Newton's laws!

I got it as a gift, but was told it was an Etsy find... www.etsy.com/listing/1649...

I feel that...perhaps you also need this mug in your life?

I strongly considered this plan for lunch yesterday, but with chocolate chips! I hope it was delicious; I have regrets about NOT choosing it yesterday.

I used to get a free pen with purple ink when I placed an order with a particular supply company, and they were my go-to grading pens for years. When they stopped sending purple pens, I was at a loss! I now teach online, and the default digital ink is a sad shade of green...

Thank you for doing this. It helped me feel a little more secure in my tentative optimism and fight against despair.

Yes please! 10/10 idea; would definitely read.

I have never read AGAHF, but this panel makes me want to start at the beginning just to know what's going on!

Sadie definitely didn't dig a hole to sit by the geraniums...

Huh. I'd never thought about it before, but I only ever compliment women or men that are super queer-coded. (I mean in public to people I don't already know well.) So yay! You have established yourself as not creepy and dangerous!

I mean...that's something. I've been offline all day, and I regret having read ANY of those sentences.

Is this...from Hillbilly Elegy?!? Please say no. Please.

My husband had me download the app. I only ever remember to use it when he suggests it might be helpful for doing [insert boring/overwhelming task here]... On the upside, it is helpful!

I love Warren, but here is my preferred dark horse: Tina Smith from MN. She used to be a Planned Parenthood exec...

I hope not, but could envision a lot worse!

Their gluten-free stuff is equally amazing. Best GF mixes ever!

Wishing you many happy memories to help you get through the grief and loss of a long-time friend...

Swordheart seems to be free for Audible members right now, so I know what book I'm starting this weekend!

I second this...I just read the Paladin books and am now loving the Clocktaur books in ways I couldn't have otherwise.

So fun! I'm listening for the first time right now...I've been devouring her catalog since I stumbled on Nettle and Bone.

Similarly, I'm sure it's totally normal to feel angry at your husband for the outrageous crime of swallowing. Swallowing noises are the worst. We always watch TV during dinner so we can eat together, otherwise I just can't, most of the time. Solidarity. Hope your sinuses are better soon!

If it helps, when the stress ends (and it will, even if it doesn't feel like it), you will remember yourself. It will take time to recover, but it comes back. I'm 14 months out from the hell years that ended with my mom dying, and starting to feel like me again.

I would literally make you soap forever because of your MCAS info. If you are interested, let me know how to contact you, and we can chat about specifications for bar soap. I just finished a fresh batch for us last night.

You could temporarily declare yourself a devout Christian and celebrate Ash Wednesday instead...I find it amusing when the two holidays coincide. I kinda like Ash Wednesday's goth vibe.

I have a similar list with a similar timeframe, and all I can say is "survivor solidarity?!" The last 8 years have sucked, and I've finally caught a bit of a break. I hope you get one soon, too!

Landing an online teaching gig was the best thing to happen to my mental and physical health in the last decade...

I struggled with this a lot the last year. My rotten mental health after my mom died kept me fixated on "who am I now?" and all I could do was spin my wheels. Getting through the depression made it possible to actually answer the question. I had thought it would work the other way around...

You have my undying gratitude for talking about this so I could learn that loratadine and cimetidine are actually wonder drugs that fix brain fog, itching, and mysterious digestive issues.

This! I wanted to like the piece, but found it...annoying? It was very "white man has a mysterious problem, and has a totally par-for-the-course experience." The person who posted it into my timeline as a must-read was a white man, so it obviously resonated better elsewhere.

Wishing you all the best! Doxycycline was like magic for me the last time I got really sick. I had impossible improvements in symptoms within 30 minutes...and now that I'm pretty sure I have mast cell problems, that makes a lot more sense!

I'll be sending the sea pony we emailed about next week. I can include a few surprises with her if you'd like! You can also email me if there's anything in particular you like. (I have many, and am only attached to a few.)

This is Sadie harshly judging our choice to invest in a new snowblower. Also: thank you for hyping ASEEL last year...I got good presents for my family from them!

I'd also send pics of mine if you want. Just post here?

This is how I get my fibromyalgia medication now, as my current primary care provider wouldn't prescribe it for me (despite having had previous success with it). When I saw they also prescribe metformin, I immediately thought about it as a backup for covid infection.

I've missed these!

I like the color and the pattern and the chunky edges!
