We got so close to finally meeting one time, there ought to be another chance one day! 🤞🏼

That's been a hack in CM circles for a while 👍🏼
Generally something I always suggest to volunteer mods who are looking for their first jobs—less empty and more unique CVs.

I think one issue I’ve repeatedly seen in this discussion is the word “useful.” I think to you, that simply means “has any uses.” I think to a certain number of other people, it means “has uses that are worth its costs.” Can something the use of which is unethical be correctly called useful?

This bothers me less than the winter wonderland encroaching on my favorite holiday—then again, I use Halloween decor all year round because it fits my personal vibe, not just color scheme wise 🟢🟣🟠

Keep in mind, those two in particular did have a publisher (as in, additional people and finances)—doesn't make it any less of an incredible success or indie, but that small team narrative often hides how things in this industry actually work.

As ridiculous as that may sound, LinkedIn has decent daily games of that sort.

Your boundaries deserve to be respected, but when you're taking up space and deliberately antagonizing or pushing stereotypes about a demographic under the guise of "these are my boundaries"?
You're very much not doing that in an intimate context, and using that as a cover is shitty.

I love that one, very good mindset.

I'm drafting this based on my personal experience, right.
So I obviously have natural blindspots in what 1. other people have to deal with and 2. they would deem most helpful in such situations.
Hence the ask into the open room what you personally feel should be part of a talk like this.

Okay so very technical protection methods, noted!
Not exactly part of my specialties, would require studies to back up any suggestion, but some basics are definitely worth mentioning.
My focus generally is more on behavior, internally and externally.

That being said, "how to ask for help" is definitely something one can get into. Results may vary based on the receiver of your ask though.
Part of it probably is this field being relatively new and always changing; not even job descriptions can decide on common responsibilities and skills.

Sadly the answer to that depends so much on your workplace (and their understanding of CM work) that there simply is no universal answer.
Since talks are often peer-to-peer advice, I can totally see why they would omit company specifics & instead focus on self-reliance as the one sure constant.

What exactly do you understand as opsec?

I can see that, yeah.
In this particular case I got invited to an internal company event about empowerment, so the advice is moreso for individuals rather than the company.
There is a proper description on the schedule too—I just didn't want to let that influence the answers I'm seeking.

This event made no recordings, sadly, but I could potentially record a video of my own from my streaming setup. Just need to get through a busy month first 😅

I suppose that "naturally" is rooted in the monthly blood loss situation? Never heard of there being a difference otherwise.
I highly recommend getting your doc to weigh in on the supplement situation, because too much iron can upset your stomach. A simple blood test helps with dosing.

Lucky—although I also need them way less over the years. Mostly when I'm stressed and eat like crap (skipping meals especially) as a result.
The first time I got my iron value checked still makes me laugh. "You shouldn't be able to stand right now... It's 5 out of 200" or sth along those lines 😂

I don't know if this is just a problem over here, but I have to specify that I want some "without gelatin" and hence my choices are limited to one or two generic pills anyways.
Specifically meds that I take because of my dietary choices shouldn't go against said concept imo, feels too ironic.

At least Veilguard is available to continue from there, the waiting for a conclusion to that DLC had me on edge for years!

Air conditioners are a thing where you live?
Our German houses were built for the cold, to keep heat in, and are pure suffering in summer.
