I hadn't seen this yesterday, Elon Musk saying two lawyers were "undermining civilization" which "seems like a generational trauma transfer issue." What a strange insult. Does he know their parents or something? Ah, I see: they're both Jewish. It's Musk being a Nazi. Again.

“I will use every tool at my disposal to protect this country from Trump. I will litigate to defend voting rights until there are no cases left to bring. I will speak out against authoritarianism until my last breath. “I will not back down. I will not bow or scrape. I will never obey.”

Siding with dictators and referring to himself as “King.” The world is on notice: America has switched sides.

I wonder what would happen if @wyden.senate.gov @murray.senate.gov asked GAO to investigate whether DOGE's "receipts" claiming savings amounts to fraud. Honestly, it's the only fraud found so far. www.npr.org/2025/02/19/n...

How reassuring.

"I spent past year and a half with The Lincoln Project... There, I learned some of the hard-line messaging tactics R's have used for decades to defeat Dems. R's know how to define opponents early, sharply, and relentlessly—exactly what Dems need to do." Must read: 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 bsky.app/profile/evel...

The world’s richest man is trying to buy elections around the country while also while wielding unprecedented authority to fire thousands of government employees, unilaterally dictate federal spending, and bring in his own companies to remake vast swaths of the federal government.

She has the legal authority. But it’s now imperatively in the public interest that Hochul remove Adams forthwith.

What a disgrace. Bezos and the newspaper he has destroyed should be grateful that anyone thinks it’s still worthwhile to buy ad space from them. *This* is how democracy dies.

NYC✊🎶 We’re thrilled that the RESISTANCE REVIVAL CHORUS will be joining us tomorrow. Meet us at the south side of UNION SQUARE on 14th Street & Broadway at 1PM. All you fascists bound to lose! INFO: actionnetwork.org/events/resis... #PresidentsDay #StopTheCoup #ResistTheDictators #RiseandResist

We need more of these op-eds in purple and red state local newspapers. Right wing MoC are getting their understanding of cuts from Xitter and Fox. They don't realize how many programs they favor are being cut, some irreparably.

The greatest political scandal today is not what Trump is doing. It is the fact that congressional Republicans have given up their role in the constitutional system as a check on the executive branch. If we are in a constitutional crisis, it is as much on Mike Johnson and John Thune as anyone else.

@schumer.senate.gov This is what I’m looking for from my NY senators: bsky.app/profile/atru...

Yes coz when all the kids have polio, you won't care about the autism...

If you're not in the DC area, you should be organizing where you are. But if you are in the DC area, I think you're going to want to come to the Treasury building today at 5pm. It will be newsworthy. www.mobilize.us/moveon/event...

if I understand American politics correctly, progressivism is something that requires 60 senate votes to work, while national conservatism doesn’t require any votes at all

Am I the only one noting that after demonizing China for years, Trump seems to be letting them off lightly, while going full tilt against Canada? Is it Musk's business interests? Have Chinese players been buying Trumpcoin?

Let's be very clear: giving someone who gives Nazi salutes and is elevating neo-Nazi parties in Germany the ability to allocate government resources DOES NOT END WELL. If any federal official can't understand that they need to get the hell out of public service. www.nytimes.com/live/2025/02...

A constitutional crisis requires friction to make it legible. That often comes from conflict between the branches of government, but a Republican-controlled Congress and SCOTUS are not interested in challenging Trump’s lawlessness. That why it’s *especially* important for Democrats to act.

@tbpinvictus.bsky.social have you seen this? www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...

‘The possibility that government officials might try to use the federal payments system — which essentially functions as the nation’s “checking book” — to enact a political agenda is unprecedented.’ www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...

BIG TIME THIS. I want one reporter or one senator who is questioning a nominee...ask them flat out "do you think black people are unqualified to be in XYZ position? Do you think women are unqualified to be pilots/doctors/senators?" Just. Ask. Them.

a bunch of posts about abortion pills vanished from Instagram. Meta put them back after we asked what was happening: www.nytimes.com/2025/01/23/t...

Instagram and Facebook have recently blurred, blocked or removed posts from two abortion pill providers. Instagram also suspended the accounts of several abortion pill providers and hid the providers from appearing in search and recommendations.

Just days after Trump returned to the White House, Instagram is censoring abortion content. This is what Aid Access' account looks like right now - posts about how to get abortion medication has been blurred out.

NEW: Nearly every California Republican in Congress fled the state to Mar-a-Lago as LA continues to burn.

Cord Jefferson, quitting Instagram, sums many things up: “I don’t need Instagram to be a haven for free speech for the same reason I don’t need a Jamba Juice or a Hooters to be a haven for free speech.”

That’s the chief on the left but the other two are the only two women in a leadership team of a dozen. lafd.org/about/organi... Pretending the entire LAFD “leadership team” is all female is just an obvious lie.

Once again, Brett is simply concerned with the common good - the public welfare, if you will. Google Brett Favre and welfare to learn more.

“President Trump is still liable for everything he did while he was in office, as an ordinary citizen, unless the statute of limitations has run, still liable for everything he did while in office, didn't get away with anything yet – yet.” -Mitch McConnell, 2/14/2021 www.usnews.com/news/politic...
