It’s so frustrating when—even on BlueSky—a woman is treated as unfairly as a male person of color is treated, some people react ONLY to the mistreatment of the male person of color. Racism AND misogyny must be called out.

It’s not a contest; it’s too easy for a white man to dismiss misogyny and racism as “less serious.” All of his actions in this purge are evil and should be seen for what they are.

Stephanie, your featuring federal employees who were fired by DOGE was brilliant. These individuals clearly described the essential work they did and why they chose to serve. They make the best argument for why the chainsaw uninformed cuts are wrong. Please show more of them. Thanks.

For example, a quote from the Quinnipiac findings: “In today's poll, Republicans (90 - 7 percent) approve, while Democrats (95 - 4 percent) disapprove. Forty-three percent of independents approve, while 50 percent disapprove.”

No, I didn’t misread them. You are incorrect re: Biden comparison. Go back and look again at the Reuters and Quinnipiac polls. Republicans are happy, but Independents and Democrats recognize that his actions are illegal, unconstitutional, and terrible in consequence for the country.

Chris, just think—you could save your household $$$ by simply not paying your mortgage (if you have one) and property taxes, credit card charges, doctor bills, etc. Efficiency! /s

He has negative approval ratings now, per two major polls.

You may want to edit out the phone number. Trolls sometimes harvest numbers posted on the web, and spam them, which the hospital doesn’t need.

The irony is that Common Cause and its message is getting much more exposure now than the ad would have garnered.

Could you please update your Jan 2017 article “Are you on the right track for retirement?” And please recognize that 46% of American adults are unmarried, per the Census Bureau, so you should provide a table (how much you should have saved) for singles if you include one for married people. Thanks.

That, and they also lack basic understand of economics, and of the (very limited) power of Presidents to control prices. Willful ignorance.

IMHO Real discussions of the issues and facts are good. Ad hominem attacks are not.

I understand the sentiment, but please don’t use a misogynist slur to make your point. If she were black, I’m sure you would not use the n-word.

I have a male cat that does this. Before him, I thought only female cats did it. Wish I knew why.

Yes, I saw that. I hope they work out, but if not, you could try www.tailshigh.org/home/. Or www.homewardtrails.org . And there are others.

Evan, several rescue organizations in Northern Virginia are very good at finding excellent homes. They rely on networks of foster homes until adoptive homes are found. Please contact them if you don’t have a closer option.

Folks, I can’t stand him, but it was in the high 40s on Saturday, and in the 20s today with wind and ice. The weather does play some role.

I’m a subscriber but didn’t receive a survey via email or text. Are they surveying everyone, or is it a random sample? Thanks!

They also don’t spend as much on facilities as do many US universities who are competing for students, who demand nice, up to date facilities.

Isn’t a negative 2.9 million votes the smallest margin? In 2016, Clinton beat Trump be 2.9 million votes but lost the electoral college, an anachronism that no other country has. Therefore, Trump’s “victory” margin was a negative number.
