Liatris pycnostachya is great for all sorts of pollinators.Topping out at 3-5', Prairie Blazing Star is happiest in full sun. It is a facultative plant but does not tolerate wet soils through the winter. It shows good critter resistance, and I can testify that it is drought and clay site tolerant.

A friend shared with me Asclepias amplexicaulis, Asclepias quadrifolia, Asclepias rubra, Asclepias variegata, and Asclepias viridiflora. That's five different Milkweed that I have never seen in nursery production. The challenge has been accepted! Advice is WELCOME!
