Apparently, if you go to "About Firefox" and click the Firefox logo multiple times, it'll enable a secret settings menu. Find that and you can disable the "Menu Redesign".

Crooked Media is a pretty big progressive/democratic outlet. But yeah, compared to the right wing media ecosystem...

I doubt one would be required to answer those questions but I suppose even being asked would be scary for some people. I'd think there are good ways to structure the collection process (script or UI) to minimize that risk, though.

I was just thinking that the arc of the moral universe appears to be a wibbly wobbly arcily wimey sort of thing.

I'm so much faster in vanilla Python+Bash than in vscode because I can keep my hands on the keyboard and everything is a reflex at this point. vscode is driving me nuts wrt tab management and navigation, but copilot chat really helps when you're not familiar with a project's language, so...

I was really annoyed at a report they did about Walz starting to go negative as well. Felt like someone was really trying to get in a "both sides" piece, and there are conservative employees within NPR. But in my experience 49/50 stories are well done. I notice more and bigger screwups at the NYT.

NPR (and public radio stations) do an overall decent job if you're okay getting news and discussion in an audio format. ProPublica probably needs the money more though.

First thing that came to mind was "The Andromeda Strain". Only read the book, but riffing on it might make for a good Zombie Apocalypse prequel.

We can do both? I would guess that most people working on self-driving cars aren't the same people who would best navigate the politics of huge infrastructure projects.
