The article is sort of framed as “we’re dependent in federal funds”, but it’s our money and it should of course in part come back to provide services locally. For scale, in 2021 immigrants alone in SCC paid $15.4B in federal taxes. www.americanimmigrationcouncil.org/news/new-rep...
