They don't now - so I doubt digging them any deeper would make a difference.

Dig them down another 3 or 4 metres - so all the balls and the flags disappear.

His son Andrew apparently can't sweat - maybe he inherited that from Sausage Fingers? 😉

Perhaps the best course of action is for the Scottish government to resurrect their scheme and vote it through again. If the English block it again they'll simply show themselves up as the nasty little school bullies that they are, and indy support will just continue to rise.

Well if it is enforced I'll just donate it back again...

It might take the Westminster government that long, but they're not as efficient as the SG. And the figures come from ONS anyway - which has nothing to do with SG.

Since then we've had October, November and December. Things tend to change...

Well I studied Latin at school, and was taught that the Roman Salute was something completely different - a simple gesture of touching the right hand to the chest as a mark of respect to leaders.

The UK government should butt out completely - any reparations due to Palestine are the sole preserve of Israel. "We" may have been supporting Israel financially and with weaponry - but the public were never consulted about that. We shouldn't be expected to pay any 'make good' or aid costs as well.

I email them to myself - can then save them into my own filing system in my laptop.

That variety of sources you mentioned - they are gathered from those but their veracity is doubtful

The one place you probably haven't looked at is the source of the figures.

Because you're not looking in the right place.

Sounds like you believe that GERS figures are accurate...

As an Australian, I can tell you that there's a lot more fiction than fact in that. About the only correct info in it is the diesel price.

Where did you obtain these figures from? In response to an FOI request for the same information, the Scottish government website gives the latest figure - as at 2023 - as 131.

Wake up to yourself - Scotland already does pay for its own defence. The English give nothing away for free - without consultation they decide how much we 'owe' them for defence, and deduct it from our own money which they collect. £3.5 billion annually - more than twice Ireland's defence budget.

No - because the suffix in the word is 'logist' which comes from the Latin for study of. It used to be spelled with a diaeresis (2 dots) over the 2nd 'o' - ö - which indicated that it had a different pronunciation to the first one - making the word zoh-o-logist.

2/2 *England’s little vanity projects, such as HS2, the monarchy, restoration of Westminster, and all those illicit wars that England likes to indulge in - none of which benefit Scotland at all. Scots will be fine - little Englanders will be poorer.

Aye, right… Take out, for example *the ~90% of oil revenues which will revert to Scotland. *all the revenues from electricity generated in Scotland currently claimed by England. Then pay by yourself for *the annual running costs and renewal of Trident - not to mention relocation to England. 1/2

It certainly is - sadly it's par for the course for the little creep and the rest of his party. Liars, each and every one of them.

Remove Scotland's GDP from the UK's and I wonder how far down the rankings the UK would plummet...

If you only know as far back as the previous 14 years, it's you who's the gullible fool. Or you never paid any heed to events in Scotland or Wales.

Go easy on him. He sounds like a product of the American 'Education' system - so it's not his fault he's so ill-informed.

And the USA hasn't even reached that yet - so what's your point?

Or reclaiming Doncaster. Apparently it has belonged to Scotland since 1136.

Agreed. If only because how else would anyone know if Independence is the will of a majority in Scotland. The only issue I have with one is that the British state would undoubtedly interfere with the process. We'd need to make sure they stayed well clear of it - they simply can't be trusted.

173 rooms ~ 650 MPs 🤔 Even taking into account that some of those 650 live in London, I can sense a flaw in your plan.

Fragmentation refers to when a smaller part of an entity breaks off/away, not when, as you appear to think, another smaller part joins that entity. What sort of a fruit loop are you? Enough is enough - bye...

Simple - a ban on the current situation of political parties from another country from participating in our system of government.

That may be a myth in your mind, but not in the minds of too many others. The only thing that Gaza illustrates is that religion is a major problem.
