My mom had Alzheimer’s disease for 12 years. She spent the final 5 in a nursing home, which these days would cost $11,000 a month. She did run out of money. She could not walk or talk and needed total care. Would she be required to get a JOB to qualify for Medicaid coverage in 2025, Speaker Johnson?

Seems like you would need security clearance which would necessitate a background check which would necessitate not being a piece of shit

Treason.

Zelenskyy is more of a leader than Chump would ever be. He is committed to his country not to himself. To use this type of rhetoric is just parroting Chump, no ideas, thoughts or opinions of their own. Pathetic!!

This is the government you get when football is revered above integrity and service.

Huge congratulations are in order for Senator Bill Cassidy, physician, vaccine advocate and Republican, who knew RFKjr was a dangerous vaccine skeptic and yet still voted to confirm RFK simply to avoid Trump saying bad things about him. Well done, sir. That Hippocratic oath is serving you well.

Yeah but we are talking about innocent Mennonite children.

“Live” updates is a poor choice of words in this context. How about “frequent”?

On the contrary, she is very, very smart. I bet she even took civics in school!

Let me repeat what I have said before: After one month of this, it is clear that the underlying agenda is to kill people. Until I see evidence to the contrary, that is my default position.

I was unbraiding a former boyfriend’s hair and got really tired. He left with his hair looking like that. I had no idea how long unbraiding would take!

Hi Sarah, I live in WA’s state capital. Escaped from Seattle, where I spent my career at graphic design & marketing firms and colleges, interpreting their needs to printers. I love being around creative types! I retired in 2019.

Unemployment checks.

The point of this approach is that if you’re not being fired “for cause,” unemployment benefits can be denied to folks who did nothing wrong. Trump is screwing the employees twice-over.

Not seaside, desktop!

We were right. We filled the Seattle streets to protest. My brother’s husband was called up for that war. It was still Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. He found a woman to pose for a pic as his “wife” to display on his seaside (he’s an MD) and dared not mention his husband.

I watched the SNL concert tonight and wasn’t wowed. I didn’t watch the show in the ‘80s and wasn’t listening to most of those bands in those years. I *was* in Seattle then, but never was a Nirvana fan, for example. Bonnie Raitt was my fave tonight. Jelly Roll was terrible, IMO.

It would have been messier with more than the two collaborators, I think.

Yes! I heard Questlove interview where he said they listened to all 900 performances more than once to get the blend right. Truly amazing.
