これは原型の推移。削り始めから仕上げまでこのくらい変わります。初期の原型ってイメージを作るための物であってその時の形はほぼ当てにならないもんです。おかしい所はどんどん直して体裁を整えるのが原型製作の作業内容ですね。

鼻はTPEで作っています。（意味は調べてね）釣りのワームの材料ですが顔料を混ぜたりメーカー次第で劣化して黒ずんだりベタベタになって溶けてきます。人肌のように柔らかく人体パーツの再現には良い素材ですが経年変化に弱い部分もあります。現在は良い素材が見つかり問題は無くなりました。

今日の仕事はお休み。今回はモデルのイメチェンの話。 2016年に作ったブタ子も過去2回に渡ってパーツの差し替えをしてます。初期モデルは童顔で目が虚ろ、中期は目を差し替えてやや強気な表情、3回目はウィッグと劣化して黒ずんでた鼻を差し替えました。パーツと色の変更だけでも結構変わります。

When modeling, I use the profile of a real animal as a reference. I create the basic angle at which the nasal bridge drops, 30° for canines, 40° for felines, and 40-45° for herbivores. The angle makes the nasal bridge longer and more long-faced, but not as far from the cheeks as you might think.

作り手の好みもありますが、３は生気が無くて不気味（恐ろしい）ので私は使用しません。４はハイライトが外側に配置されたものですが視線が開くので私的にはNGです。顔はゲストを向いているのに目が無理に視線を外して相手を見ない表情と感じるから。相手に失礼な感じなので私は使わないです。反転プリントは製作作業が楽ですがやり方次第では表情作りに支障が出る感じです。そのためにハイライトだけは別のパーツにしておいて、完成間際に表情を見ながら追加しています。後日、オーナーが好みに変えられるのも利点ですね。

”物作りにNeverは無いけどBetterはある”が私の考えです。仮パーツで先方に表所チェックをしてもらってますがこんな感じで見せます。例はハイライトの位置ですが、 1と2は基本的な位置 3は白点無しですが空虚（日本風なら死んだ魚の目）な感じ４は逆転プリントをした際によくある目です。

たまにはドールを。 Q : 頭はどう作ってますか？１．厚めのスポンジに適当に横顔を描く２．出来るだけ正確に（直角に）切り抜く　３．3種類のカッターでオラオラ状態で削りまくる４．アッと言う間に完成簡単です。

ナースガゼルの角は発泡樹脂の削り出し+ラバーコーティングにして軽いけど脆く、ヒツジの角は中空の樹脂製で頑丈だけど見た目より重い。最近15㎝程のヤギの角を作ってみたけどポリウレタンの無垢だと2本で360g（缶コーラ程）で重くてそのままではマスクには不向きでした。要は難しいのです。

水牛の様な巨大な角（Horn）や細くて長いシカの角（Antler）は形を作るの難しくないけど着ぐるみで使えるようにするのは結構大変。軽く折れないようにかつ人に怪我をさせないように先端を柔らかくなど、本来の役割とは逆の性質を持たせなくてはならないのです。
