For just once I would like to read something where “Trump” and “deal” are not in the same sentence.

American students (and their parents) will be finding out pretty soon what the cost of this stupidity is. Tuition for US/in-state students is gonna explode

So… Walmart can raise prices and hurt the consumer or ‘eat’ the tariffs and hurt the investors, pension plans, etc. - I.e some of those same consumers.

Deep State my ass… we have the absolute shallowest state EVER!

If you are a state employee you need to consider getting out as soon as possible if you can. Your pension will ultimately become worth much less than you expect because the legislature will not support retirees.

In a sociopath’s mind it is not possible to “make a mistake”. That possibility simply does not compute for them.

I didn’t want it to happen either, and also voted for the smart black lady. When she didn’t win I moved 95% of my $$$ out of the equity markets. It was pretty obvious this economic destruction was coming.

And let’s hope the same thing happens to the law firms that bent over for Trump. Why would anyone want to go near these sycophants???

I remain baffled that ‘smart’ people I follow still seem surprised. There is something VERY sinister going on and it has been obvious for quite a while.

• By a 44%-34% margin, voters think the impact to NC's economy from a reduction in federal spending will be negative • By a 50%-28% margin, voters side with Jeff Jackson suing to block Elon Musk from accessing Americans' personal info Full results: eloncdn.blob.core.windows.net/eu3/sites/81...

What… exactly… DOES he “know about”? He’s the GD Prez… how is it possible to be SO incompetently informed???

While true, so what? Trump will just pardon him and nothing will be done.

As I have said all along - why wouldn’t he? There have never been any consequences. Anyone with kids knows this is a losing game and yet here we are.

Because Dems are generally ‘good’ people but absolute SHIT as politicians. It is embarrassing and shameful. It’s why I will never register as a Dem, even though I might vote that way.

As a retired state worker I cannot recommend working for the state. Retiree benefits, which used to be good, have been seriously eroded. No COLA adjustments to pension in many years.

With all due respect - if they hold in contempt, so what? What will that *really* do?

CRAP. I was SO looking for a way outta this sh*tstorm….

It’s the latest “they are eating the dogs, they are eating the cats”… because they know a significant percentage of Americans are intellectually ignorant and lazy and will just accept/repeat it…

Nah… Dems were missing a few… Johnson thought he could sneak it thru (on reduced numbers) but all the Dems showed up… lmao! He will pull it again is my bet…

Respectable journalists should boycott… that will help confirm those in attendance are mere pawns.

It’s because people like those from the NYT bent over, handed tRUmp the Vaseline and the begged for mercy. Look in the mirror….

Hit ‘em in the wallet. No more Amazon/Audible/Washington Post, Anthropologie or Target here. And tbh, my consumer confidence is nil. I’m saving my dollars and not consuming anything deemed unnecessary & I know I’m not the only one when I talk to friends/coworkers/family.
