It’s been hard to come up with words regarding the situation at NWS/NOAA the last few days. Roughly 1k meteorologists have been fired, and this will have profound impacts. I just got back from two days in DC fighting for NOAA/NWS. I met with over 12 lawmakers. I am very mad.

On the way to the US Capitol to meet with lawmakers, it's time to fight for NWS/NOAA and science! 👏🏻 #ncpol #ncwx

I’ve been very clear about my unwavering support for the National Weather Service and NOAA. Please see my letter from my Weather page, North Carolina’s Weather Authority, to North Carolina senators and other representatives. #ncwx #ncpol

This forecast has been a complete headache and quite interesting to make; I’ve adjusted my snow/ice maps slightly to account for the dry slot across the Triad/Foothills that’ll likely overperform. My full forecast thoughts here, it’s long. www.ncwxauthority.com/post/winter-... #ncwx

The fourth-year meteorology student at NC State has run a wildly popular forecasting page called North Carolina’s Weather Authority since he was 12.

My first call snow and ice maps for North Carolina, and my full written forecast below. There will be some sweet spots and some with very little snow, and a very complicated forecast, especially for Central NC. www.ncwxauthority.com/post/winter-... #ncwx

My Winter Storm Forecast update, in trust NC fashion, is a very complex, messy forecast. Read my forecast thoughts here. www.ncwxauthority.com/post/winter-... #ncwx
