Come on Keir Starmer , even right wingers support the EU youth mobility scheme! With thanks to @mikegalsworthy.bsky.social www.independent.co.uk/independentp...

I’ve said it once before, but it bears repeating now…

Let’s go!!! 🇺🇦 Pro-Ukraine protest outside the Russian embassy. ✊

“Dr @mikegalsworthy.bsky.social , chairman of the European Movement UK, told The Independent: “This is welcome news. We need to start pulling this country out of the no-growth quagmire of Brexit and start giving people hope for a better, brighter future.”” www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/poli...

How can Brexit Britain navigate Trump's World? New post on my Brexit & Beyond Blog. With the rapid deepening of a dangerous global divide, the UK faces hard choices. Could the latest proposals for UK-EU 'mutual recognition' be part of the answer? chrisgreybrexitblog.blogspot.com/2025/02/how-...

Did you sign the petition to #RejoinEU? Below, you can sign it, then easily find your MP's contact details with a letter template to email them, to inform them about the petition and ask them to attend the debate! Please share! ❤️ joineu.site

Fantastic news if this goes ahead! 🇪🇺 www.bestforbritain.org/_government_...

The construction sector has warned it simply doesn't have the workers to build the 1.5 million homes pledged by the government. Between 2017 & the end of 2020 the ONS reported a 42% fall in EU-born construction workers in the UK. Thanks, Brexit. www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/poli...

Brexit in a nutshell: Remainers: Brexit won’t solve any of the problems we face and in fact will make almost all of them a lot of them worse. Leavers: Brexit is the key to saving Britain. *We leave and everything gets worse* Leavers: Why is Britain in terminal decline now?

Looking forward to listening to our very own Yvonne Wancke @ivanwancke.bsky.social speak at today's Grassroots Conference by @europeanmovement.co.uk 🇪🇺 Other speakers include Dominic Grieve and @carolinelucas.bsky.social 🇪🇺🇪🇺

On the first of 2 rail replacements to London: it's so early the revellers in the Toon are still up partying 🥳😅 Wish me luck!

100,000 signatures - enough to be considered for a debate by MPs in Parliament!

Lying politicians repeatedly say "Nobody is talking about #RejoinEU" Well, 100000+ peeps will now make THEM talk about it! www.thelondoneconomic.com/news/petitio...

Taking Britain out of the Erasmus+ programme was a huge mistake. Labour must rejoin and accept the EU’s offer of a youth mobility scheme

This petition is now within 12,000 signatures required for 100K and a parliamentary debate. Let’s give it another push, please sign and repost.🙏 petition.parliament.uk/petitions/70...

The new Chair of Leeds for Europe @leedsblue67.bsky.social on our street stall today talking about the campaign to Rejoin Erasmus+ www.europeanmovement.co.uk/this_is_eras...

It has been a honour to lead @leedseurope.bsky.social for the last 8 years, having been a founding member of this wonderful group. I am delighted now to have passed the baton to a worthy successor, Leeds for Europe’s new Chair, @leedsblue67.bsky.social. I will continue as a supportive member!

An excellent point made in today's @chroniclelive.co.uk 👏

Trump’s new world chaos offers possibilities for post-Brexit Britain. New post on my Brexit & Beyond Blog. The UK's choice isn’t just between US & EU, it's about the new global divide, and it could finally change the stale politics of Brexit: chrisgreybrexitblog.blogspot.com/2025/02/trum...

From our old friend Greg Stone about Bregret in the region. www.hexham-courant.co.uk/news/2490451...

Another letter in the @chroniclelive.co.uk today and another opportunity to sign the Rejoin petition :) :- bit.ly/RejoinPetition

🔥 This. “Labour cannot simply manage the status quo. To defeat Mr Farage’s sham politics, it must offer more than technocratic governance. Without a compelling vision, including one for Britain’s place in Europe, it risks being outflanked” Perfectly put in @theguardian.com

Would prefer she were a "red against red lines".

Stella Creasy now on the EU-UK Forum. She said that she is "a Red against Red Tape". She is not there to make the case for Rejoin but is interested in the Pan-Euro Mediterranean Convention (PEM).

This EU-UK forum is focusing on issues such as the development of diplomatic and trade relations, boosting Europe’s economy and competitiveness and the growing importance of security and defence cooperation.

Our letter timely printed to the @chroniclelive.co.uk on the day Keir Starmer is having UK-EU talks. With thanks to @leedseurope.bsky.social 🇪🇺

We were delighted to have Baroness Joyce Quin join us to deliver @europeanmovement.co.uk leaflets to bring back Erasmus+ this weekend! Followed by another productive meeting 🇪🇺

A fisherman from North Shields admitted live on GB News that he regretted voting for Brexit, 5 years after the UK left the EU. Fisherman Andy Dixon told reporter Nana Aku that Brexit had been a “disaster” for his industry and that it was “costing him dearly”. www.independent.co.uk/tv/news/brex...

Just about to hit 80k! Let's do that and then keep pushing! 😍

Thanks to Danish Broadcasting Corporation which is their equivalent to BBC for also covering a positive North East 🇪🇺 angle. Have tried to screengrab some translations of the relevant bits to us below. www.dr.dk/nyheder/udla...

This is, by some distance, the most unforgivably stupidest thing the government is doing. An easily sellable proposal, which would actually help Brits, and unlocks meaningful negotiation. Irrational and anti-growth.

A brilliant analysis of the epic Brexit failure. Scorn for the liars and solidarity for the rest of us. “We lost something intangible and yet priceless, something we might never get back: an idea of our country.” Heartbreaking, enraging and yet, still hopeful. iandunt.substack.com/p/brexit-fiv...

'Carry on Touring' UK-EU summit and lobby day for the 5th anniversary of Brexit

Five years on, 55% of Britons now think Brexit was a mistake, with growing support for a closer EU relationship—or even rejoining

5th anniversary of Brexit: “We just want freedom to work” There has been a dramatic drop of 74% in artists touring the EU. The campaign, led by ‘Carry on Touring’, represents all creative artists affected by Brexit not just musicians.

Today is 5 years since we officially left the EU. The movement to ditch Brexit and get back in the EU is growing at pace. Want to help it grow on Bluesky? 🦋 Then follow European Movement UK and the 40+ local pro-EU groups in this starter pack (and find you own nearest group to say "hi"!)

only one in five LEAVE voters think that Brexit has been more of a success than a failure, that is nuts

Five years on, few Britons think Brexit has been good for anything % saying Brexit has had a positive impact on... Control the UK has over its laws: 31% UK's ability to respond to COVID-19: 23% UK's level of international trade: 11% NHS: 6% Full list in chart 👇 yougov.co.uk/politics/art...

So, I've been beating this drum for over six years. Sadly - foresight and hindsight are both useless things.

A staggering 1100 new people have joined this month, and we’ve hit our target of 25k members for 2025 ahead of the deadline. Thank you for making this happen. It's your energy, your support, and your actions that power this campaign.

Two things. 1. This is aimed at anyone living outside the EU, not only the British (and we would have been excluded had we stayed in the EU). 2. British people already settled in Spain aren’t affected. Nice ragebait though.
