I so feel this. I’ve only ever asked to be in one starter pack. Yet I’ve been added to several. I vet all followers, and the process is tedious. I find I only follow back about 50-60% because the rest don’t interest me. I’d rather grow my followers organically. Quality over quantity for me.

A lot of union and government organization members have gone over to the Dark Side in recent years. They’re populist, in general, and think Dems are responsible for all their problems. I don’t see them fighting back until it hits more of them personally.

Sorry. She’s a well known protester in DC. Should have specified that. I agree with you. No peace for those with no remorse. Which is nearly all of them.

No need for the /s. I’m usually thinking straighter. 😂

That’s Whistle Girl. TBF, she was picking on him. It’s just that his snowflake ass couldn’t handle the taunting.

I came within an inch of calling you out, probably because I spent some time earlier watching the J6 supporters’ reactions. (One even called the cops while on a Twitter space to claim he was kidnapped). Followed you instead. 😂

He smacked her phone out of her hand hard enough that it went skittering across the sidewalk.

Pretty sure, based on where it happened, that it’s a DC charge, even tho Capitol Police made the arrest. It’s a simple assault, so it will likely get papered anyway.

Agree. I block people who make casual statements like that. I get their anger. But it’s not productive.

It’s always been in the fine print that we don’t actually own the Kindle books we “buy”. Doubt a class action suit will work. But public lash back might.
comment in response to post
I’m glad somebody mentioned this. The fine print was always there indicating that we have never owned our Kindle books. The risk was always there that they’d restrict the devices. Some tech publications have warned us of this over the last few years.

Had mine pre-K (1959). Bedridden for about 3 weeks. Couldn’t even stand up on my own.

Are you aware that when you block someone here we can’t see the post? If I’m going to share the post of someone I’m about to block, I take a screen print.

Amen. The more they tear each other down, the better. Some are trying to make bucks out their insurgency, instead of accepting they got a pass and crawling back under their rocks.

Are you sure? Jake Lang is on video with a few others getting denied entry for the 2nd time yesterday. Saying they told him he could come back, but were reneging.
comment in response to post
Many were allowed in. A few others weren’t. Mostly the drama queens like Jake Lang. There’s a lot of infighting among the J6 alumni grifter crowd.

I like that he’s getting a taste of his own medicine of bogging things down in the courts.

I guess you missed my point. If Louisiana takes her to Federal court, it pits US Constitution (in their favor) against a New York state law. So I don’t see how it’s shut down. I see it as the possible beginning of a long court battle.
comment in response to post
Did she tho? Haven’t been keeping up. But I know they can take her to Fed court over that. Extradition is required by the Constitution.

Nah. People’s concerns were addressed ad nauseum. It’s selfishness.

Nursing homes, which aren’t covered by Medicare, are about 80% funded by Medicaid. Once our elders have drained their savings, they go on Medicaid to pay their nursing home bills.
comment in response to post
Not just our own. But other kids around them. So selfish.

I had the measles in 58. I was bedridden for over 3 weeks. Weak as a newborn kitten and coughing for about another 2. My kid was vaccinated so she wouldn’t have to go thru that. She moved out at 23, and has no anxiety issues. 🙄

Same. We need to use that retirement savings for big ticket items like dental, hearing aids, home maintenance and insurance, health insurance premiums, deductibles/ copays, etc., all of which are rising continuously. Gauls me to be taxed on SS payments we earned by being taxed in the first place.

Plaintiffs couldn’t offer any proof that it had caused/ was causing harm. They were relying on anecdotes and news reports. No affidavits or sworn testimony. That’s on them. The TRO would have only carried them thru to the injunction hearing. I agree with you. But judge has to follow the law.
comment in response to post
I didn’t read the ruling yet. But I followed along during the hearing. She was skeptical that, and plaintiffs failed to show, irreparable harm would occur without the TRO, which is the bar. That might be one reason. I’m guessing there will still be an injunction once that hearing takes place.

Couldn’t find under that @- harrietgoddess. But, oh look! Must be her twin. 😂

I need to say I’m amazed that she owned up to it. Too often they just let pesky facts pass once they surface.

I was in private sector in IT and worked as a contractor with Fed employees (CMS). The ones I worked with were on the ball and knew their stuff. All were college grads and 2 had masters degrees. Ignore that idiot.

I’m no music expert. But it seems like that guy has some Freddie Mercury range. Loved it. But still in my chair.

NTSB held a press conference Friday and read out their DC findings so far, including a timeline of data and communication they had from tower, plane and helicopter. You can Google the video. Philly crash will take a while. No data recorder. Nothing unusual from cockpit comms before losing contact.
comment in response to post
I followed the hearing. Plaintiffs seemed to fail to prove there would be irreversible harm before the injunction hearing, which is a requirement to grant an emergency TRO. Plaintiffs lawyers sounded wishy washy on evidence and unprepared to me. But I’m not a lawyer. Agree that damage already done.

Both are a threat. Russia via the Arctic.
comment in response to post
You really had to go snarky? We aren’t allowed to share opinions here?
comment in response to post
But only Canada and Greenland have a real risk of being attacked *by Russia*. Hence my opinion. 🤷‍♀️
comment in response to post
That’s just my opinion. NATO has always been Euro/ Russia centric. I don’t believe all members would want to commit to protecting nations not likely to be attacked or encroached upon by Russia. There was even grumbling when they clarified that entire US mainland was covered.

No, we aren’t. Article 6 limits the scope of Article 5.
