Yeah, I don’t think they’re still active. Seem to remember some of them had other projects on the go? I saw them supporting Rob Crow at Stereo and Mr Crow was digging them himself. They were just genuinely off the wall and unusual! Still annoyed I missed out on a physical copy of the album.

There’s loads of good Gilbert stuff but I have to admit I find some of his most recent work somewhat baffling. He’s clearly following his very unique muse and there is some wild, weird and enjoyable stuff but I do miss the Palomar era, which is just gold. Anyway, enjoy!

I had a friend who much preferred the future crime stuff to the Apocalypse War so volume 5 actually put her off a bit after reading some other Case Files! Not that I want to dissuade anyone. Volume 5 is a must!
