Yeah it’s a nonstarter at that price when the Razer controller does fit the iPad mini. Oh well.

Great review. Not sure if this applies to the Pro, but it is fairly simple to mod the base Backbone to allow it to stretch far enough to fit an iPad mini. Works fantastic with Moonlight for streaming PC games.

Great overview! General knowledge also works with HomePod, sorta, with the default Shortcuts command "search with Perplexity." Though in my tests I saw numerous timeouts (and was also repeatedly asked "who is speaking?"). Oh, Siri.

It will work with other games, it just lacks a second shoulder/Z button which means games that require that button will be broken/unplayable. Same issue as the NES, SNES, Genesis and N64 controllers they offer.

Agree with everything you said, but also: Hockey culture dictates that the captain gets the credit. Stamkos lifted the cup first in 2020 despite just playing a few shifts in the postseason. Andy and Stammer still deserve the credit though!

Where can I get it? I've been using a 3D printed one from Etsy for the last year, and it's fine, but this looks way nicer and a bit more compact.

I tried, no luck. Hopefully gets sorted by final release!

NFC tags to trigger Shortcuts are completely broken for me. Shortcuts recognizes the tag to create the automation, but then just does not work. People on Reddit reporting the same (some said beta 2 fixes it, but not for me).

I have a “flat” one that hides under my couch. Apparently you can mount it on the wall as well.

This is a really weird choice. Hope and assume it is not a sign of things to come.

Would love to have this on my Onyx Boox!

Really why not iCloud Drive? Apple Fitness? I don't think it would make Apple platforms any less sticky, and would grow the services business. Glass of ice water in hell, and all.

I'd like to see Apple Books for Android, only because I have an Android-based e-reader.

Cool, thanks. I always use my watch anyhow, so not really interested in the heartrate monitoring, just more curious than anything. The fixed case (plus addition of wireless charging) sold me!

The original Powerbeats charging case was an absolute disaster, as the headphones frequently did not make proper contact with the case and thus would not charge. Did you run into any of these issues with the new model?
Also, I assume the heart rate tracking only works with an iPhone nearby?

Their Thor movie licensed game for DS is an underrated gem with great use of dual screens.

Sure, but limiting the ability to send invites to iCloud+ subscribers is going to severely limit adoption. It’s definitely interesting, but I doubt Apple has the attention span to do anything with it.

iPhone only, requires iCloud sub, and addresses market already served (for free) by Partiful. Reminds me in a weird way of the short-lived Apple Cards app, though since Invites doesn’t involve the logistics of mailing a letterpress card, I imagine it’ll last longer. appleinsider.com/articles/11/...
