“Type O blood seems to be a mosquitoes’ preferred blood type as compared to A, B & AB, but the only significant difference was when it was compared to Type A,” says Ulysses Wu, MD, chief epidemiologist & medical director of infectious disease.

I guess being called “bruh” is better than being called “bitch”
😂
She is offended by cuss words (or acts like it anyway).
So far she’s a sweet, funny kid.
Honor roll and honors classes, never in trouble at school.
I feel lucky to have her as my daughter ❤️

Some people block others that swear; some block for their mental health while others block, for example, anything dealing with alcohol because they are in recovery.
It’s not a bad thing.

People don’t understand how proving libel or slander works. You quite literally have to damage irreparably the reputation & credibility of a person in the real world to result in a suit that’s not considered frivolous. The plaintiff has a high burden of proof. Easier to ignore it than be litigious.

4/4 #LeonardCohen
had 3 of his songs (Waiting for the Miracle, Anthem & The Future) incorporated into the soundtrack, featured during climactic scenes in the film. He became one of my favorite songwriters. His words are sublime poetry.
RIP you absolute legend (1934-2016)
The song begins at 0:41

3/4 Casting was excellent. The film featured
Juliette Lewis, Woody Harrelson, Robert Downey Jr,
Tommy Lee Jones, Rodney Dangerfield & Tom Sizemore.
The soundtrack was one of the best of the 90’s; Rage Against the Machine, Jane’s Addiction, NIN, L7, Patsy Cline, Bob Dylan & LEONARD COHEN.

2/4 At a friends sleep over, we wanted to rent a movie. I wanted THIS. Blockbuster wouldn’t rent it to us because we were kids. So I asked some random guy if he would rent it for us. We watched it as soon as we got to her house. It blew my mind. “If it bleeds, it leads”. I suddenly understood.

Spot on with music. It might have taken white artists to make it mainstream but it would never have existed without the Black pioneers paving the way.

People that are homophobic yet steal from the LGBTQ community in terms of style, music, literature, movies and tv, etc, all discombobulate me.
I don’t get it.
How can you hate a community that gives you so much?!

It would, I agree. Mark Manson writes books about dealing with how to cut people that are toxic from your life. That inaction is still ACTION.
The books aren’t long, so something a bit more “scientific”, including what these situations do to a persons brain & organ systems, would be fascinating.

The weight that will fall from you is amazing.
I think this is what a lot of us struggle with. We feel guilty for not allowing toxic people back in even when we forgive them and a vicious cycle ensues of hurt feelings and miscommunication.

The poor can’t afford to organize, protest, and/or fight back and miss work or potentially be fired from engaging in activities related to these acts.

I think it’s because it is easier to have a single person to represent the whole. The others matter; very much so.

It seriously is playing out like a cult. Some of them seem only halfhearted in their support but know they can’t waver or face becoming a pariah. Alternately, others gleefully declare their support. “Owning the Libs/Dems” has become a source of dopamine to them, a drug.
It’s messed up.
