#turtle #flowers When we moved here, our backyard was bare. This brings me such joy. It’s a lot of work, breaking up clay-rich soil and rock, hauling in new dirt, planting, dragging a stupid-heavy water hose back and forth, planting, pruning, weeding, mulching…But I love it.

#summerfeedingprogram Not sure if this is done nationwide but I am always grateful that we can feed our kids in the community at no cost to their families. The summer feeding program serves about 500 kids, Monday through Friday, with extra meals delivered for the weekend.

Useless trivia: Directed by Oliver Stone, the soundtrack to the movie Natural Born Killers, released in 1994, was produced by Trent Reznor. To this day, I still regard it as an incredible album. A polished fan-made video to one of my favorite NIN songs of all time, featuring scenes from the film.
