The world is really dark but sometimes tiny things make it a little brighter. Like this bacterium, Photorhabdus luminescens. It glows blue! P. luminescens saved the lives of countless American soldiers during the Civil War by colonizing wounds, preventing infections w/ the antibiotics it produces.

Pigeons honestly doesn't get enough recognition. They are very beautiful birds that are quite smart and cool <3 did you know that they are like the stray cats and dogs on the street. Unfortunately used and abandoned by humans </3 they were quite valuable once upon a time! To me they still are!

#macrophotography helped me find so much beauty and interest in even the most simple things. This photo to me is so cool! The way the sunlight was hitting the hairs on the blade of grass making the hairs pop from the shadows. I thought it was so cute! I wanted to pet it! I didn't ofcourse..
