From the article I linked:
"In Delaware, meat plant wastewater is awash with fecal bacteria. That water is then sprayed onto cornfields as fertilizer, and from there it seeps into the water table..."
Fun fact - that's also why we keep having salmonella and e. coli contamination in our vegetables

Water used in ag introduces a ton of pollution. Fertilizers (phosphorous and nitrates), pesticides, fecal matter beyond what can naturally be handled by decomposer flora and fauna, and fecal bacteria.
American agriculture is filthy.

Elon Musk’s AI company xAI is operating 35 methane-powered turbines w/o pollution controls, emitting an estimated 1,200 to 2,000 tons of smog-forming nitrogen oxides annually its Shelby County’s largest polluters. Located in a black, low-income neighborhood. The facility lacks Clean Air Act permits

You got two kinds of gun control. The practical "improve storage/child safety and background check" kind, and the "I'm gonna demonize the most popular gun in the country because it's scary" kind.
The second one is where you lose Texans and alienate all gun owners.

This kind of impulse issue is what I saw in my mom a while after she had a series of micro-strokes.
10 years later she doesn't know who I am.

Lucky, mine hit me for three days with flu-style body aches.
Due for the second shot within the next couple months, hoping the second dose isn't so bad.

This is one of those cases where I have zero respect for anyone who participates in a parade for Trump. Even in the face of dishonorable discharge or court martial.
It's a bridge too far. Goes against everything you're supposed to stand for.

This fuck has twisted his brain into not believing in germ theory to justify his anti-vax take. Of course he thinks poppers cause AIDS, the idea that it or any other disease is caused by a microscopic infectious agent shatters his entire worldview.

what's going on with the firing mechanism?
Electric button trigger, beefy looking insulated container to hold the ice needle, baffles so it must be using compressed air, but I have to suspect it'd have been more reliable using Red Ryder's technology.

You're correct, I don't suggest hunting medium or large game with 5.56, it's an intermediate rifle round originally developed for small game and varmint hunting.
Defense is a much closer ranged situation, and one where follow up shots are far more important.

um, the AR platform is extremely accurate, possibly the best for the price. It's also extremely easy to handle, and red dot optics are cheap.
Take it from someone whose hobby used to be putting holes in paper at 300+ yards with an AR-15. This is fuddlore.

Nope. This shit is very home-grown. The post-WW2 roots of this are in the John Birch Society, but it's really all a reaction to FDR's policies.

I'm not always in the mood for explicit scenes when I'm reading.
but trying to hold an artist accountable for your own hangups is silly. and the mentioning of toys makes it clear it's about their hangups.

You can already choose not to consume certain food products if you can read, and if you’d rather not have a neurodivergent child you can actually choose permanent contraception instead of eugenics. Hope that helps!

Remember when they shot a journalist with a "non lethal" bullet, caused her to lose an eye, and gave her a traumatic brain injury that caused dementia and eventually ended up with her in hospice care?

The evolution of cuisine is such an interesting subject with so much to tell us about the changing of cultures over time and the spread of ideas and customs between cultures.
In my home the style of Tex-Mex is an amazing fusion of northern Mexican, German, Polish, American and a lil Mediterranean.

Yeah, for me methylphenidate's the one that gives me anxiety, elevated heart rate and insomnia.
Just goes to show how every person needs a tailored treatment.

Very fair.
I'm convinced Paine could have been another Kropotkin if he was born 100 years later. Principles in the right place, but born into an era where the hot new thing to make lives better was liberalism. The stuff he advocated goes further than most social democracies today.
