Think about how much of an entitled prick you’d have to be to think calling other human beings “peasants” when you’re the Vice President is an ok thing to do. The world’s worst diplomat strikes again. Also: we don’t borrow money from them. That is nonsense.

Because paper is too expensive after he placed a 20% tariff on it.

2019 is calling and saying, hey, why didn’t you listen

"Who could have predicted this?" say the people who spent the past year dismissing or mocking those who predicted this.

If you like what you've seen from Sen. Cory Booker and other Democratic lawmakers this week, call and email their offices and let them know that. Evidence of public support gives lawmakers more clout with their colleagues to keep doing what they're doing. Constituent encouragement becomes influence.

Crawford: Today, Wisconsinites fended off an unprecedented attack on our democracy, our fair elections, and our Supreme Court.. Wisconsin stood up and said that justice does not have a price, our courts are not for sale

I am not moved by politicians often, but I am moved by Booker today. I hope more dems callously see how much attention he's commanding today take his lead. I don't care if the reason they do it is craven-- I just want them to fucken fight. also fuck strom thurmand may he rest in piss

“A.I. makes art accessible.” Art has always been accessible. There was like a six month period where I drew all the sketches for my comics with a lined notebook from the grocery store and a random green marker.

"Russia used disinformation campaigns to undermine Western democracies, and Brexit was no exception. Reports from parliament’s intelligence and security committee highlighted the extent of Russian influence, with cyber campaigns and misinformation spreading instability in the UK and across Europe."

A Black man just beat the record for the longest filibuster, defeating the record previously held by a man who filibustered the literal Civil Rights Act. As the time ticked over, Cory Booker announced he did it not out of hatred for who he opposed, but out of love for those who supported him.

Longest speaking filibuster ever was 24 hours, 18 minutes by Strom Thurmond in opposition to the Civil Rights Act of 1957. In a few hours, that record will be shattered by Sen. Cory Booker, a Black man, laying out the case for saving democracy from an aspiring despot.

I may be tired and a little hoarse, but as I said again and again on the Senate floor, this is a moment where we cannot afford to be silent, when we must speak up.

He wore the cheesehead hat in WI. Spent $20 million. Paid people to sign petitions. Paid people to canvas. Did million dollar giveaways. A rally. TV interviews. But I guess people in Wisconsin didn’t appreciate an oligarch trying to buy their civil liberties.

Join Andrea Jenkyns on her march against solar panels today! Just a note team. Steer clear of the ones with a plaque reading: “This solar panel represents the 16,120 solar panels that provide solar electricity directly to Wakefield Manufacturing Site. Opened by Andrea Jenkyns MP 8 September 2017”

The USA is not a place I feel inclined to visit anymore…

Indeed.

ICYMI: “Arlington National Cemetery has scrubbed information about prominent Black, Hispanic and female service members and topics such as the Civil War from its website”…in order “to remove all references to diversity, equity and inclusion from its online presence.”

Many hours have passed and I’ve thought about what happened in the Senate some more. And you know what? I’m still mad as hell. I may just repost their names every day until everyone knows them by heart.

My husband ran a successful business and used our local rural post office daily. My elderly neighbor’s meds come through the rural post office. The post office is one of the only places left open in my rural community. Losing it could quite literally kill my town and my neighbors.

I lost a baby very early doors (5 weeks) while I was out of the country on holiday. It was an awful experience. I really needed some time to just have a break but felt I couldn't even ask as it "only a chemical". This is long overdue and so welcome. www.theguardian.com/society/2025...

Great news for money launderers!

⚡️Canada imposes new sanctions against Russia. Canada introduced new sanctions on March 2 against 10 Russian individuals and 21 entities. The sanctions target military leaders, post-Wagner paramilitary groups, and affiliated organizations involved in resource extraction.

That we would have to fight the Russian government inside our own parliaments and in the White House is not something I saw coming.
