I have many favourites and this is only one of them.

We recently played Man of Medan a couple times with different friends. The first time, I was able to solve the mystery based on clues the game left and we could act accordingly.
The second time we played, our friend was not interested in looking for clues and never solved anything.

This is why I love Return of the Obra Dinn so much. You legitimately have to use deductive reasoning and real world knowledge to make progress.

This movie is one of my guilty pleasures. Bat credit cards, ice puns, Arnie… just great cheese to be had.

If you want your friends to see you playing Lumines, they better be on your couch. As god intended.

All dog best dog. Gotta give some love to the Pokémon dogs. Bread dog is a good buddy.

I know, it’s eerie. I had a poster of Belle on my wall as a kid, love to sing, I draw and do graphic design and am a bit of a bisexual witch. Perhaps it was I who was shaped by the fictional characters.
Seriously though, Hawkeye is a rad one to get and also very appropriate. 👍🏻

Yes. My error was in assuming I wouldn’t ever need to use the associated account.

Pretty pleased with my own, but it’s bound to be a bit biased to to self rating.

Well yes, but the reason I spent $60 on a lightbulb was the ability to change colour and brightness. Now that I’m logged out, it’s no different from a normal lightbulb.
I just hate having to log in to stuff to use the things I already own.

I got logged out of my lightbulb and I can’t log back in, so now I can’t use my $60 lightbulb for its intended purpose. (Its intended purpose was to allow me to change the colour and brightness in my child’s bedroom.)

It should be revived as an animated series, but in an animation style like the opening of Bewitched.

Red Letter Media has a fun video about all this stuff in Next Gen. Back when they were filming for 4x3 TV screens, they didn’t care about all the little things folks wouldn’t see.
But with the remasters, we can see eeeevvvrrything.

But it becomes cool again when men decide they like it, like Elvis or The Beatles.
This reminds me that I was wanting to play that game about dating anthropomorphized household objects.

Mine was either pretty accurate or flattering. Perhaps it would be less so if we weren’t the ones judging ourselves.

We started playing it just the other day and I’ve cried several times already.

I love me some social relationships in games, be they romantic or otherwise. Like, my biggest gripe with the Persona 3 remake was no girl mode, so no romancing Akihiko.
Also can’t go through Mass Effect without romancing Garrus.

Yeah, I don’t think you can blame anyone for doing what’s best for their family when the writing is on the wall.
If you want to stay and fight, then cool, that’s great. But it’s not fair to begrudge those who don’t for leaving. Not everyone wants to risk being unemployed or disappeared.

Capitalism fails because it is built around financial incentive. There is incentive to make products out of cheaper materials, to charge more for them, to institute planned obsolescence. There is incentive to destroy the environment, to charge for healthcare, to treat the homeless like garbage.

If it’s a small town newspaper, it could be a pretty dull job, but still more akin to Parks and Rec. It’s not all that exciting to be covering the results of the jr high volleyball tournament against “rival town” or that the owners of a pig farm are having a garage sale. But it could still be funny.

I was so disappointed when I upgraded to a new iPad mini when I realized the headphone jack was gone and I needed to buy a special adapter so I could fall asleep to YouTube. And my MacBook needs an adapter dangling off it so I can use my Wacom tablet.
Why did you betray me Apple.

Glad to see buttons and knobs are making a comeback. Touchscreens in cars have always been a terrible idea. I always hate when analog/manual controls are taken away.

Didn’t Trump previously state that they would sell “lower quality versions” of equipment to other countries? I think there’s a good chance these planes will come pre-sabotaged.

Been watching Next Gen with my husband and episodes with Lwaxana are always entertaining. Recently watched the one where she gets kidnapped and Picard has to go all Shakespearean poetry to get her back. It was hilarious.
I think I love Picards reactions to her best.

Oooh, I hate recessed lighting! It really flattens out a space, especially if it’s cool toned light. Funky lamps with warm toned bulbs make a big difference. Get some swag lamps.
A chandelier is always a good idea. I keep meaning to find a nice one for my dining room.
comment in response to

Oh totally. All those items in the background would be lost entirely if it wasn’t for all the lighting around them. Actual windows make a big difference too.
Inadequate lighting is what makes the difference between warm and cozy and cold and dingy.

This is why you balance it out with a fuckton of lamps. There are a lot of lamps on this set, but it could always use more.

In terms of my particular riding (Edmonton Griesbach), we lost a very good NDP MP Blake Dejarlais in favour of Con Kerry Diotte. I was hoping Carney would win federally, but I wanted my riding to stay NDP! It was a small beacon of orange in Alberta.

So disappointing we lost our NDP MP due to vote splitting. My riding was one of the few where NPD had a decent shot at beating out the Cons, so it was still the best strategic choice. Better to keep a Con seat out when there’s no chance of getting a Liberal seat in.
FPTP strikes again. 😞

What if you don’t like to write, but you really like to edit. Like “let’s make this AI disaster into something actually good.”
Though I’m sure I could do the same thing with projects I wrote 20+ years ago.

Fingers crossed we get to keep our NDP MP in my riding. 🤞🏻

This is great, though I don’t consider Togekiss a bird. It’s in whatever animal group Clefairy and Jigglypuff are in. I did a Pokemon taxonomy once and that’s where I placed it.
