Thanks for sharing. I wasn't aware of this book. Also, if you are into prophetic Victorian fiction, have a look at Erewhon by Samuel Butler (1872). He explores the concept of "AI" and machines. He also wrote a letter called Darwin Among The Machines in 1863. en.wikisource.org/wiki/Darwin_...

The moral of the story is that AI isn’t going to clean your house, but with a clean house, your use cases have a higher chance of success.

With a clean and organized house, you have places for people to sit and know where plates, utensils, and cookware are. You have space to cook and efficiently serve guests so their food doesn’t get cold.

💯 Writing is thinking. That's why people should refuse the slop architecture approach, where it's said that ideas are the pinnacle, and everything is considered worthless friction. We discard so much value in this approach, sometimes the whole point of doing something in the first place.

There are still some lessons here, and just because deepfakes weren’t a threat to elections and didn't create a misinformation/disinformation apocalypse doesn’t mean they are harmless. This is something I cover in both my writings and the article. Thanks. Rant complete 😆

Despite the fact that I provided very clear evidence to support my points while the opposition provided vibes. The deepfake hype continued to steamroll reality. But as we should all recognize, unchecked hype, at best, is a distraction and, at worst, causes harm.

I’ve given quite a few interviews with the press on this topic without a single word ever making it to publication. Apparently, what I was saying was so off the mark and so different from what “everybody was saying” that it couldn’t possibly be true.

It's great, even if it were for the titles alone 😆
