I am so disappointed in Starmer’s govt. This is every bit as awful as Osborne’s carnage😡I know exactly how scared and anxious Lu would be if she’d lived even with us to cushion that blow. Imagine being alone in this. Doesn’t bear thinking about.

Thank you. Really helpful, thoughtful article. As someone diagnosed with incurable cancer I’d still be opposed to assisted dying and want the focus to be on better palliative care. I’m glad to have had a disabled daughter in my life who educated me about these issues.
