Yeah so far I've been held together with a body pillow on either side. I don't know what's up with this "shoulder trying to dislocate when I roll over or lay too long" thing.
I wish I could learn to sleep on my back!
Sorry you're suffering, too!

I'm glad to see the pushback on behalf of workers. It's about time.
But let's keep the same energy for Black people, immigrants, trans people, Indigenous rights, disabled people..

That sounds terrifying 😬

So pretty! I wish my ears were sturdy enough for earloop masks 😂

There is! It's a lot more difficult since the pool is smaller, but on the upside that weeds out a lot of the losers. I met my partner two years ago while being COVID safer so there is hope!

Same. Humanity (particularly in the US) had such an opportunity to band together and really turn the tide in 2020. 😞

If ppl wanna be pedantic, they haven't purged air traffic *controllers* yet, but ATC still need the support of all the staff who maintain radar, buy headsets, issue paychecks, etc etc. Those folks are a huge part of air traffic and are part of the purge.

This whole situation is really shining a light on how little folks understand the behind-the-scenes jobs that actually keep things going.

There are, but word on the street is they are already feeling the squeeze from increased need :(
One advantage I have is lots of yard space, so I'm going to try my best at growing a big garden 🤞

Also true for my household. Especially my air traffic controller spouse who supports all five of us won't be getting paid when the govt inevitably shuts down in March 😞

Exactly! 😤
Even the ones who aren't gun nuts themselves but lick boots for the "thin blue line" that keeps America "safe" are really showing their whole asses.

I mean, I'm not ignorant. I know *why* but come on.
It's silly the number of posts I've seen asking Congress and Fed workers to do things beyond what they legally can or have big personal risk (like strike) when there's literally guys with guns at the entrance to federal buildings.

Anyway, the biggest thing my congressperson said was to keep calling and keep encouraging constituents in Republican districts to call even more.
So if you have a Republican senator or representative, please call them and tell them to get these asshats out!

If anything they wanted to know why she wasn't doing MORE to stop Musk's demolition of the govt.
It made me hopeful that maybe they pushed on the gas a little too hard at the jump and are losing credibility with some of their base. 🤞
Again, not a representative sample at all, but I'll take it 5/

She got lots of claps for all the reasonable and good things she said and advocated for. It actually made me feel hopeful because this is "Let's go Brandon" Christmas light display, maga flag on a lifted pickup, antivax billboards kinda territory, but they were clapping for the little dem lady. 4/

I guess maybe people don't go to town hall meetings if they're happy with how things are going 🤷, so I guess I shouldn't have been surprised, but people were really upset at the DOGE mess and charged up. 3/

She laid out the facts of what's been happening in the Federal Govt recently with the barrage of EOs and illegal firing of employees and how to follow the pending lawsuits. I've been following the fed purges, but I don't know how much is being reported on and if it's common knowledge. 2/

If you go to maskbloc.org you can search for a group near you & contact them. They often can give you a few different types to try before you buy.
Thank you for protecting yourself & your community! As a disabled person, it truly makes a difference to see others masking, too!

I like 3M Aura 95s for combo of comfort, durability, & cost. I bought a 440ct case for like $80.
Most comfy are ACI N95s which are a duckbill style with softer head straps. They don't feel as durable to me but are great for sensory needs / comfort.

Yup, this. KN95 have ear loops, N95 have head straps. Head straps provide a better seal (= more protection).

Unfortunately natural immunity is v limited, esp with post-omicron strains, & c19 does immune system damage that opens the door to more flu, etc. Kinda nonsensical to worry about the others but not c19. Either way- masks, clean air, limit contacts, wash hands, vaccinate!

This is exactly how I've been describing it to my patients. When you're at 3 covid infections, it's like smoking 2-3 packs a day for the rest of your life.
