Ultimately UK business needs UK spending. So until people can afford more than just the essentials (if they can afford that), there's not going to be a lot of growth.

Pretty much what has happened to every company that's gone bust in the last 30 years. It's the operating model of choice. The bosses and "investors" make a fortune, the UK loses a company that used to employ lots of people.

I read this the other day and assumed "braces" were the dental type. Now reading again, it occurred to me it might be trouser type braces. Obviously, I'm not going to sleep a wink until this is cleared up for me...

It does sort of defeat the object of the exercise. Are you taking too much care over the presentation, and not focusing on the content?

Life expectancy, and the expectancy of a healthy(ish) old age. I remember my grandparents as worn out by the harsh lives they'd lived. I'm their ages now, and am a very different person, as are my peers.
