For those who want journalism that doesn't pander for access, Drop Site News will end up being where you want to go. It's where the real journalists from Intercept went when corporate hacks demanded profit and access, like NYT, over journalism:

Drop Site is going to be a hell of a resource going forward it appears.

I swore the first time I saw it the faces weren't censored.

I exposed that with a few places, their owners hate me, and the fact that they are still legally guaranteed minimum wage, even with tipped wage.

And when fines are a fraction of the profit gained from it, the justice system is rewarding the behavior.

That sex offender would sell out to Trump for personal gain in a millisecond.

Yeah, I have worked with over 30 languages professionally, and I think COBOL and assembly are the oldest languages I have worked with. I'll pass on punch cards and Fortran, haha. I have heard horror stories.

You are in the extreme minority, as data proves, and the voting history of the rest of your generation.

Facebook has over 250 million US users, while BlueSky has a little over 10 million US users. The Boomer and Silent generation are also more likely to spend more time on Facebook than younger people, who are instead on multiple other platforms, while app diversity is less common with older users.
comment in response to post
Facebook the Boomer and Silent market share is over 17%, which Facebook has significantly more users, while on BlueSky it's under 10%.

I was being sincere...

Also, congratulations on being one of the few Boomers that keeps up with tech trends and all! That's awesome being an early adopter!

Facebook has more of the Boomer and Silent market than any other social media app. BlueSky's users are statistically significantly younger than Facebook, and has very little Boomer and Silent users. That isn't ageism, it's undeniable data, which is used in marketing, and is public knowledge.

I am pointing people to HERE WeGo as an alternative to Google and Apple Maps, not sure if there is a better alternative, but seems like the best option probably.
comment in response to post
HERE WeGo is an alternative to Google and Apple Maps, and they are based in Europe, making them far less likely to recognize the change.

HERE WeGo is a maps option based on Europe, and significantly less likely to recognize the rename.

Going after the boomer market I see. Good, hopefully you will make an impact. Given how they have significantly more money than the rest of us, hopefully they pay for subscriptions too.

I called out Adams for being corrupt in 2020, and if my employer at the time kept their word to increase my pay if I moved to NYC, I would have kept railing against him in NYC.

Rank wise, I mean with medical outcomes, quality of life, infrastructure, education, and so on.

The US was already going backwards, has been for decades, as it is, by a large margin, the lowest ranked of all modern countries, and there is a legitimate argument that the US is no longer a modern country. There are dozens of countries not considered modern that rank higher.

Conservative*. Liberalism is a conservative ideology by definition. They are at best socially center and absolutely to the right economically, and always have been in every country that has had a liberal party.
comment in response to post
They absolutely are not controlled opposition, they are aligned with the GOP to represent the oligarchy and corporations, and only market themselves as opposition, but their votes on bills prove otherwise. Liberalism is a right wing ideology by definition.
comment in response to post
You liberals really are brainwashed into ideals that are reality.

...no. Dems need new leaders first, to lead the party to substantive actions to slow and stop this administration, like the GOP did Obama when they were the minority. Also, to win elections again, or else the Dems are done.
comment in response to post
They are more aligned with the GOP than us, but they expect us to vote for them down ticket...

I love seeing stories from former employees talking about how Musk insisted on something stupid, and they just did what they knew was right, and ignored his orders, and he never realized it.

They are always worth having. There is no such thing as a successful one dimensional movement, it requires multiple levels, layers, and approaches, like MLK, Malcolm X, and all of the unspoken people of their movement.

We can get them to mobilize without that, because Trump is very clearly leading the global economy into collapse, which is now completely inevitable. Other countries have to work with us to mitigate the damage, we just need to help them be able to recognize who they need to work with.
