When we finally decided we liked them enough, we showed them the Macintosh prototype. And if they were just kind of bored, or said "This is a nice computer", we didn't want them. We wanted their eyes to light up and for them to get really excited, and then we knew they were one of us.

So the neatest thing that happens is when you get a core group of ten great people, it becomes self-policing as to who they let into that group. So I consider the most important job of someone like myself is recruiting.

We wanted people that were insanely great at what they did, who had at the tips of their fingers and in their passion the latest understanding of where technology was and what we could do with that technology.

Filtering for keywords throughout recent bsky posts related to neuroscience papers and mentioning thread (or related keywords). I will hopefully finetune the algorithm once the volume of related bsky posts increases.

Don't despair. It happened to me and I made it 3 times, but turns out it's not lost, it just takes some time to show up. Check on your profile -> start packs after 1-2 minutes and it should hopefully be there.

Custom domains. Bsky offers the possibility to use custom domains, allowing users to personalize their handles with their own domain names.

Bsky accounts have RSS built in. Just add “/rss” to the end of any profile page url (e.g. bsky.app/profile/niko... ) and you can follow them using RSS protocol.

Bluesky lets you create passwords for other apps to use (Settings > App Passwords). This is helpful if you like to use apps that take advantage of the Bluesky API but don’t want to give them your permanent password.

Reply Control. This feature lets authors control who can reply or quote your posts. When posting, click on 'Anybody can interact' and choose who can reply (everyone, followers, or no one).

If someone quotes your post in a way that is unwelcome, simply click the three dot menu on the quote post & click "Detach quote". This removes your post from their quote post.

If you always found Twitter threads chaotic, this one is for you: Go to Settings > Thread Preferences > Threaded Mode > Yes. Now all replies to a post appear in a threaded view, instead of having to navigate the chaos of random replies.
