RFK heading to Texas to celebrate his success.

Who knew that you could just “reject” a recession? Why did we not try this before?

Belfast, Maine. 😭 There are like 6-7k people in this entire town. (reposted with alt text)

If a previously liberal man starts railing about “woke,” his arrest for sexual assault is probably imminent.

Susan Collins voted to approve Doug Collins to lead the VA, and now he's working to make veterans homeless.

Despite the encouraging title, this editorial turns out to be a celebration of Susan Collins as a principled leader of Republicans working to limit the damage of Trump's actions. A little positive reinforcement is fine, but this is just embarrassing. www.bangordailynews.com/2025/04/04/o...

OK, but you and your boy have just convinced me that you're both complete blithering idiots who know nothing about anything. Is that good?

We’ve done this mass tariff thing 3 times in American history. 1828, 1930, 2025. All spaced about 100 years apart because everyone who remembers the last one needs to be dead for the next one to happen. The last two caused a depression. I hope this one makes us rich tho.

Fine. And what about the other 192 countries? (It would have been 193, but shockingly Trump's tariffs don't include Russia.) Canadian tourism and heating oil is important to Maine, but that's not why the global economy is melting down right now. www.pressherald.com/2025/04/02/t...

It's weird to have elected leaders who say they want to crash the economy, reinstate segregation, strip human rights and create a perpetual underclass and then have people ask why are they doing this are they bad at economics ?

As we enter the "Finding Out" era, I'm not interested in hearing any sob stories from republicans about lost jobs, lost income, lack of workers, lack of tourists, missing social security checks, expensive heating oil, or regrets about voting for Trump. www.pressherald.com/2025/03/30/e...

Many people have made excuses for Trump voters, saying that he didn't explicitly say that he would destroy the entire government, so the damage he's done isn't their fault. Well, he did explicitly run on imposing tariffs on the entire world. Trump voters absolutely voted for the coming recession.

Dude we elected the lettuce

Imagine being an attorney at this firm and deciding to stay. How broken would you have to be? I would never hire anybody who worked at Twitter post-Musk (with the possible exception of an H-1B hostage), and I've got to believe that any decent law firm would feel the same way about these people.

if nothing else credit to cory booker for the longest speech a stanford guy has ever given without announcing a product that will doom us all

When Susan Collins puts her "moderate" costume back on for the 2026 election, remember that she voted for this: www.pressherald.com/2025/03/31/d...

When fishermen and lobstermen die in an unexpectedly bad or timed storm, that's on Susan Collins. When farmers start losing crops because they can't accurately plan sowing or harvest days around rain events, it's Susan Collins' fault.

Elon Musk has been a walking SEC violation for a decade and no one cared. The entire Trump era could have been avoided if the US took white collar crime anywhere near as seriously as it does low level drug crime.

One of my all-time favorite radio shows is on right now: In Tune with Sara Willis on Maine Public Radio. This show reminds me of listening to WFUV when I lived in New York. If you feel like it, you can listen online: www.mainepublic.org/in-tune

Hiring your brother is the original affirmative action for white people.

This can only end well. 🙄

Every single review of a Google product should start and end with: "Regardless of how good or bad this product is, Google is going to discontinue it - if they haven't already. Don't buy it."

We used to talk around the @marketplace.org office about what the first question would be if we got got an interview with him. I think we landed on asking him to tell us how tariffs actually work.

“Too big to be acquired, too shitty to go public”

Susan Collins is in big trouble. #resist #mepolitics #MESen #ModerateMyth #VoteBlue26

Susan Collins missed the big 10:00am Intel Committee hearing, reportedly due to illness. But she was apparently well enough to cast a vote for a Trump nominee in a roll call that finished up at 12:01pm. tinyurl.com/44t8a9je #MEpolitics

Excellent. Helpful. By all means, lets jump into another endless round of infighting over exactly which aspect of their latest violation is the worst, while they seamlessly transition on to their next set of abuses.

Ya know what? I think Brian Kilmeade killed a man in Reno, just to watch him die. Let's lock him up. There's a lot going on now, so we don't need to bother with lawyers or a trial.
