Humans were murderous less than 100 years ago. People in countries without war were lulled into thinking that humans were becoming civilized, even if slowly, that war would reduce;civilisation would contain brutality. We were fooled. The 37% US tariffs on Bangladesh will hurt their garments exports, > 80% of their total export earnings. Sri Lanka's tariff is 44%; Cambodia 47%, while the larger economies such as India, Japan, & S Korea, have relatively lower tariffs. Making poor countries poorer will increase world instability.
