I once put up a picture of my dog who was recovering from surgery after breaking a leg. I was flooded with "advice" and just said "I'm following the instructions of the ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON I PAID TO DO THIS. If you are not a veterinary ortho, STFU." (Advice was directly contradicting surgeon)

Can anyone watch on YouTube? In case I want to send some non-subscriber friends over?

There are people who laugh, but I went to a restaurant with my ex (a serious alcoholic) that we had been to a couple of times before and he's like. Oh this place is great. Why haven't we tried this? Ummm... And I was even generally able to tell how drunk he was for the most part.

Wait wut?

AND he's still insisting that there were experiments making mice "transgender."

But nobody seems to want to admit this.

"couldn't find people with those skills" means "Americans don't want to do those jobs" because they're boring and repetitive and require precision, care, and that you not be an addict. It's got nothing to do with small hands.

And it doesn't match his tie

Eh. It made me think of Marjorie Morningstar and also, do you really have to say Oh well but the cornfields of Ohio suck also? I mean, it's like hi, I'm a New Yorker but New York sucks but also I just have to s*** on the Midwest as well. It's annoying. Stop it.

Same. He has the row. Let him have it. Maybe trains should supply those slipper sock things that hospitals have? Would that be appropriate?

Biden doesn't matter. Voters want to move on. BUT be transparent (for real) be candid, and talk like a normal person. In 1992 I liked Paul Tsongas. Why? Because on abortion he said it's the woman's decision, full stop.

Bought these when I broke my foot last summer. Yes they are gold and sparkly.

This is how I feel

Agreed. All this may be true but the tone is terrible

OMG All you people bitching, could you at least read the article? Jesus.

Ok so once Jared Kushner gets his Gaza resort up and running that'll be fine because the people who go there "didn't feel that way?"

Seems kinda like having a $40,000 destination wedding at a prison. Or Auschwitz. People complaining about oh my God history seem to be then making light of that history.
comment in response to post
Maybe we could NOT make them wedding venues?

Listening to the episode now. I am a fan of this movie! Are you going to do another Tony LoBianco movie, God Told Me To? Seems like that would be something that would be right up your alley!

Bugs. So many bugs...

This one probably has some kind of countermeasures. I remember when I was working for a defense contractor who did that sort of thing. We were actually installing on a Saudi plane as well.

Just get hot and sour soup. Easier, same effect.

Why is Alan Rickman hot? He is, but why?

Everyone tries to kill you in Florida. I've driven there a couple of times for a dog show and it seems like as soon as you get past Savannah Georgia which is lovely, the drivers get more and more aggressive. The drive goes beautifully until I make it to Savannah and then suddenly 3 hours added.

I've always said I don't want to live anywhere where the bugs don't die. Or where my boyfriend says (as I am about to get on a plane) oh by the way I killed a scorpion in the bathroom the other day but everything should be fine.

BUT I stopped understanding her attitude in a lot of ways (can't get into it but has a lot to do with I think privilege). That you admit your privilege actually makes you more relatable.

I wish you were going to be nearby, but I will definitely get your book. I read a bunch of your mother's stuff as a late teenager / college student back in the day and I actually got some crap for it which is weird (my technical writing professor in grad school, but he was such a dumbass man).

And I'm a center-lefty who never thought I'd be cheering on the likes of Bill Kristol, but here we are!

You know you could even be a dick. Just spend most of your time not ACTING like a dick and you'll do fine.

Ok so it's a good pit stop? I mean genuinely, I'm not being s***** just curious. Sheetz is also an excellent pit stop. And Casey's (an Iowa thing but I just realized there are some in Ohio now as well) has really good food. But I will try Buc-ee's if I get the opportunity.
comment in response to post
I have never been to a buc-ee's. Despite having lived in Ohio for most of my life (long sojourn in the Chicago area, short sojourn in Pittsburgh). Why is it a thing?
comment in response to post
Ya know, lots of weirdos out there who yes, work because they have to but also because they like the work they do and find it interesting?

I was just going to ask what that pink tradwife horror was. $7000 for that? Yikes.

I resent that this person refers to Cat People (1942) as "even worse." It's excellent. And the queer subtext is basically text. This one of those people who can't watch black and white movies?
comment in response to post
But these are GANG MEMBERS! They have ILLEGAL WEAPONS! (yes I am being sarcastic, BUT I would have assumed that ICE either actually believes the lies they're told or don't care).
comment in response to post
I don't quite understand why they haven't run across anyone armed yet, TBH.

Maybe we shouldn't have but here we are. What the current administration is doing isn't gonna fix it.

It's easy for people who have never changed their name. (I haven't so not being snotty here). Not for married women who changed their name or for anyone who changed their name for another reason.

So I didn't know it but it seems I got one the last time I renewed. I recently lost my driver's license and went in to get a replacement and the piece of paper (because now they mail them to you) says compliant and apparently that's what that means.

Ok let's just ignore the whole Bezos thing for a second and look at that retro-looking truck. I would buy this. It has a 70's vibe.
